Another Mod and a 'How To' all in one evening!!!

Featured Replies

Finished the Mod earlier and the 'How To' just now. Some of the pictures aren't great due to fading light but I'll get some more when the light is better and the car clean :D

What are your thoughts??

Been planning it for a while but awaiting parts etc.

I think that looks superb - makes the front of the car much more agressive IMO

Top job.

Steve

Very neat Stu!

I'm going to have to give it a go, maybe this summer. I'll re-use my present chrome grill tho' - why bother to buy a new one?

Thanks guy's.

The reason for using the parts is really just to keep the ability to return the car to OEM, also so you don't need to be off the road while the painting is done - Just the way I like to do things that's all.

That said, it does make it an expensive mod if you do buy all the parts.

I got a couple of those foil type vRS stickers from ebay a while ago too -

I left the original vRS badge on mine, the clips are a pain to get out but Stu practised his skillz on them ;)

Looks good & yet again his car is cleaner than mine :o

I love the colour coded grill. I would move the back vrs badge up in line with the skoda badge though as you dont have fabia there anymore. still looks good where it is though. Great job

Colour-coded grill & new badge look good. Something I have been considering for a while.

Don't like the VRS badge on the engine cover though. Makes it look a bit cluttered, but that's just my opinion.

i like it, i like it alot! i know what im dong this weekend!

I must admit I am not 100% on it at the moment, it is growing on me though.

The rear badge is placed where the original one would have been giving the option to refit FABIA if I want to.

I toyed with putting it higher but decided against it in the end.

Dave.

No you aren't - they went to that style shortly after mine was built.

Try ordering 036 103 940 N £5.05 plus VAT.

That's not too bad then....... Might look into replacing it with one of the older style one's then.

Cheers

Dave.

I can't remember to be honest.

Can let you know shortly as I'm picking one up Thursday.

Mine were around £15ish iirc for the front and rear Octy II badges.

I believe I was the first Fabia vRS owner to be sporting these badges :D

Grill looks mint Stu, and nice guide. Your website is coming on nicely

You may well be right mate ;) . I think Gerry is trying to claim the glory of the first Octy 1 to display such wares.

Just the badge Dave.

THe grille is looking better every day for me - I love it.

Looks great Stu, a top mod.

How much did you pay for spraying?

I think you should consider selling these as a "kit" ready sprayed... would be less than the price of an aftermarket grille, and I'd buy one for sure.
