Superb DSG 2014 loads of warning lights on dash board

Featured Replies

Recently when I start my diesel automatic I get loads of warning light, i.e. Power steering, tyre pressure and a lot more.  They eventually go out one by one. Now Im getting warning messages on the screen in the middle.

Would welcome your comments and advice. P.s. I bought and had a new battery fitted back in April.

What sort of usage pattern do you have?

Diesel Auto's are very reliant on a good strong battery, so although it has been replaced.. get it health checked.

I presume the battery was coded at the point of fitting (if the car requires it) and no faults were present after?

I would also look to read all the fault codes and clear them, and see what comes back.

Ken - been out every day for the last two weeks. Three of which were 150 mile round trips. The first time it happened the car had stood three days.

The new battery back in April was bought (£249) and fitted at the Skoda main dealer

OK, not what I was thinking of then.

Think I'll take the car into Dealer on Monday.

Might it be a case of rebooting the system? Can the system be rebooted? Does the system have its own battery?

Had the very same thing happen to me a while back - it was a rear brake sensor gone. Had it replaced (the part cost £45) and lights all went out (after a run round the block). Take a look at this which pointed me in that direction (thanks to Superb170)

Thanks for responding Simon. Looks like others having same problem. Called at Dealers and have a diagnostic booked for Monday. Daft thing is it hasn't happened since I called in at Dealers and nobody touched the car. Duh.

Loose wire on the battery's studs?

What kind of battery? Do you have Start / Stop?

Jafo .yes I have start stop but don't use it. Had a Dealer supplied and fitted new battery back in April (£250). Not sure of type but it was the best. As of the last two days problem not happened. I've cancelled appointment for diagnostic check which was going to cost £90. Will just wait and see what happens.

Reading other similar threads I get the impression Skoda don't know what causes problem.

Thank you for responding.
