Enyaq Servicing

Featured Replies

Hi all,

My Enyaq is in the process of being built (Week 44/2021) When I normally order a car I get a service plan, but I was told that there isn't one for the Enyaq. He also said that the service is every 2 years and its not a normal service, it's basically a visual inspection. Can anyone confirm this?

Sorry not an answer to the question,

but

This is from VW UK Servicing site.

BEV Servicing regime.

Thanks for all the replies, now I know! 👍

It will be good to know what Skoda UK & Skoda Main Dealers think is the correct price to charge for Servicing the EV's to Manufacturers Recommendations.

Surely by now there must be a price that Dealerships can quote.

?

Does the Warranty read the same as for other Skoda Models?

Pollen / cabin filter.

Maybe a help to those doing some of their own Servicing & Maintenance and checks.

Easy peasy then. Pollen filter, top up screen wash, check tyres, visually inspect everything and the service is done. Plus the obligatory Brake fluid change every 2 years.
The thing is with these cars, you’re going to actually want any software updates the dealer does and not risk any get out clauses with the 8 year/100000 mile battery warranty.

?

Does anyone know what the UK Main Dealership costs are for Annual or Bi-annual Inspection Services & Brake Fluid changes on an Enyaq?

Are they quoting the same price for a Pollen Filter change as the Fixed Service & Maintenance regime on 3-10 year old ICE vehicles?

Vw quote first service for their EVs due at 24 months or 20,000 miles then every year or 20,000 miles. Lots of cable checks apparently and they will check the charge on your battery and top it up if necessary.

I can picture the conversation...So that'll be £189 sir, plus £45 for the pollen filter, plus £65 for the brake fluid change and £9.50 for the screen wash and oh your discs and pads need changing, that'll be another £350 sir, yes I know its a lot but because the car is electric and the brakes are hardly ever used so they tend to rust and corrode sir. We also noticed some damage to your charge cable and we recommend you change that for safety reasons, how much? Let me check....£450....

The usual mess then ! (Don’t forget …we recommend an Aircon service every 2 years sir….)

The Enyaq brochure states service required every 2 years, with no mileage quoted.

My interpretation of the brochure is that every 2 years they will inspect it, change the brake fluid and the pollen filter.

The call from the upseller on the Service desk might tell the owners the rear discs are 80% worn.   Silence maybe when told there are drums at the rear.  Then notice of the cam belt being due will just be something common.      My EV seems to think it needs a service in another 1,400 miles or 7 months.   Since the last time Arnold Clark had it in with no EV technician available to service it,  managed to wipe the Service info on My Vauxhall phone app.     Vauxhall have in brochures / websites and in Articles quoting servicing claim after the first 8,000 miles 12 months the car does not require a service for another 24 months / 16,000 miles.    But they seem to not be able to confirm that with me or a dealership.    PS, it is a Motability car so the service is at no cost to me. I am not going to the bother of dropping off the car without there being a courtesy car available for 2 days.   If they can service and do recall actions they say there are and do them correctly in a day they will get the courtesy car back sooner.  By all accounts on doing successful updates they can not get them done within a couple of hours or even days.   I am not making arrangements around a dealership service only to arrive and be told no Trained or Qualified EV staff are present, or be told that after being told the car is ready to collect.
