Indeed a great loss and all the words on the previous pages are a tribute to the impression he made here and no doubt all the other places he shared his time and passion with.

 

As a very small token, I've set the tree from November, a Sessile Oak, as Auric Goldfingers Memorial Tree. It might be a long way from any road, along way from any track, but hopefully it will be there for a very, very long time!

my not yet written down, but swmbo knows,plan is - cremate me, bring somewhere nice, dig a hole, put my ash in the bottom and plant a sapling in the hole...

I’ve only just seen this and I’m absolutely gutted.

We only met once but messaged a few times and i always enjoyed his posts when i was much more active on here.

mac- custom on UK was to bury ashes somewhere that meant a lot to the deceased, usually near their favourite bit of track.
