Gasoline filter replacement 1.8 TSI 2015

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

This is my first post here ! ;)

I recently had my octavia converted to E85, and I had read that it was advisable to replace the gasoline filter after a few tanks of gas.
The problem is that my gasoline filter is apparently located in the tank, with the fuel pump.
I would like to replace it myself but I couldn't find any way to know the reference of my fuel filter.

By any chance, does anyone here know the part number I need or would have already replaced their gasoline filter on this engine?

Thank you for your answer !

The filter is intergrated in the fuel delivery module and is non-serviceable unfortunately.

So, If I need to replace the filter, I got to replace the delivery module, right ?

@Artha59. What was involved in converting your car to run on E85, and what country are you in?

That is correct.

@roottootIt was a reputable professional who reprogrammed it, I’m in France

Thanks.  So was it just a remap or did the spark plugs changed, a different gap or anything else?

@roottootIt was just a remap

Out of interest, how widely available is E85 in your part of France (are you willing to tell us a region)?

Basically it's everywhere but only 1 in 5 has E85.

@PetrolDave I’m in the north of France. And fortunately, there is one on the road to my workplace. It is quite widespread but not enough compared to the number of users. It happens often that there is no more E85 available at the gas station.

Again out of interest, does the tune allow you to run on E10 and/or E5 also?

@PetrolDave Yes that’s a « flexfuel » remap ;)
