Wind Deflectors

Featured Replies

Hi all, I just bought a Mk4 Octavia Estate, and am looking for some low profile wind deflectors.

Can anyone recommend a brand?

Usually you would get Heko ones and all would be well.  Now the postage / delivery to the UK can be 3 or 4 times more than a pair of deflectors.

I would ask why you want them???

Visual aesthetics .......... fair enough.

To deflect wind ........... I'm not so sure,

I have the Heko brand on my MkII estate and they suit the car very well.

I purchased them so that I could leave the windows open a bit if I had to leave my doggy a short while in the car on the odd occasion.

They work very well for the purpose of stopping the rain dripping into the car.

Invaluable for those that sit in cars or have animals in cars, especially when raining or snowing.   Worth their weight in gold for those with EV,s or plug in hybrids that might spend time sitting in their car charging.

About £40 on the bay.

I had them on the last RS and I thought that they did a good job allowing me to have the window cracked open for fresh air whilst raining and no rain getting in.

OK they're a bit of a pain if you like to have the window open whilst having your arm on the sill upwards but you can't have everything.

mainly wanting to leave the windows cracked open for my dog, and for when i kip overnight in it, on a photo trip

Team Heko... £38 off eBay with free delivery. Mine really changed my car (ignoring the other modifications). :)

I fitted Heko ones to my Yeti so that I could leave the windows cracked to prevent it getting too hot inside in the summer which is the same reason that I fitted mesh blinds to all the glass aft of the driver's and front seat passenger's windows.

It's best to fit then in warm weather or at least, heat them up first.  Also, they do increase wind noise, especially in combination with my roof bars. It can get a bit raucous into a head wind at 70 mph.

Another vote for Heko as a brand worth considering.

Had them on four different Skodas now and can't fault them.
