Unsurprisingly it's free when you order a new one. 

I’ve ordered in mamba green, very much doubt there are actually any in the UK yet. The picture above doesn’t do it justice, they have one on display in Prague airport looks far nicer in the flesh. 

I ordered Velvet Red, it was cheapest at a mere £395.00

This is the BMW version of it...

 

Must be a glut or job lot on offer, seen one of these and it's not good.

I think mamba green is an awesome colour! My partner doesn't however

It's a polarising hue for sure.

 

Probably a fashion colour that will be ditched come facelift time.

 

There are some Toyota models that also offer a similar shade.

That's better than the new colour IMHO. 

Buy a car in that colour and you should be arrested for Kermitting a crime to people's vision..

It depends what you expect / want. Our picking of color was something like this:

We did not want White/Silver/Black car... too ordinary

Red - nice, but it will completely hide the nice rear lamps and rear reflex under tailgate

Blue Race - very nice color, but too declassed by Škoda. Its on all cars even the low-cost Fabias etc.

Phoenix - very nice in sunny weather, on cloudy a little bit less. But same as blue - Škoda put it as "catalogue color" for fabia and karoq and is also available for octavia and kamiq, so I am expecting same situation as with blue.

Mamba - This color you need to see in real life. From photos we did not like it. But dealer get one for us in showroom to look on and we love it on the first sight. There was no doubt what color to order. Even people who said from photos that is ugly or too extravagant are now saying its really nice car. It is star on every parking lot  You will never overlook it anywhere

That's the sort of crime that would probably get you toad in the UK.....  😇

this kind of color maybe on a small city car, but on a sw i'm pretty sure you ll hate it really fast

 

second reselling value would be lower than a grey/white/black car and much harder to find a buyer

@zorglub And I am thinking exactly other way around... because grey/white/black is so ordinary... Mamba will be probably (I hope!!) rare also in the future, and in that case will be much easier to sell it... But we are both guessing, so  we will se. Mamba needs to be seen live, on photos it looks almost always bad.

Maybe in the past, when people wanted boring, but since the lockdowns people seem to want colour in their life.

 

My friend was considering changing his Audi, dealer said all the unsold stock is white (presumably no one wanted them), and all the interesting colours are virtually impossible to get as sold out.

 

Looking at what is used and lined up at front of my local car dealers (various brands) Seems all the unusual colours (even blue and red) not there because they are flying out the door, and the boring colours like white/grey/black are the ones they haven’t yet managed to sell yet, so not sure why you assume resale value will be lower for colour.

the other major problem i see with this color is you ll be really recognizable by cops and other people

 so you really need to drive very well all the time 😁
