You do not say that in ad or if a TSI or TDI.     Just mentioning because the same happened over the gearbox in an ad for a Yeti.

It's a TSI.

Hi- I've just started looking at these. Just registering my potential interest- going to show my wife tonight.

 

I need to do some reading- is the DSG an auto box? I've come on here as autotrader and fb marketplace are flooded with auction bought crap by wannabe traders working from their front garden.

 

I'm based Nottingham so not a million miles away but not just up the road either.

 

Am I right in thinking the tsi comes in more than one power output? Which one is this please?

 

Apologies if the above questions are very obvious to enthusiasts- I haven't looked at these since 2005 when I nearly bought a mk1.

Hi Chilled, DSG is an automated manual gearbox - it uses twin clutches to shift between alternate gear ratios, rather than a torque converter. DSG can be also used in manual mode by moving shift lever (or wheel-mounted paddles, if fitted)

Can you see the flappy paddles in the photos? Not sure what to look for.

 

I think it must be a 230 ps because for the VED it is 149 g/km.   A 245 Estate is 144 g/km.

I may be wrong, but I think I can see a tip of the LH paddle in the 1st image posted. I don't recall if paddles were standard fit on a VRS - but likely.
