Are the center air vents annoying?

Featured Replies

Hello,
I'm looking to buy an Octavia mk 4 and I'm won dering if the air vents blow heat into the forearm or leg, and if that is a annoying or a deal breaker.

I’ve a lot of complaints about my car, the vent position isn’t one of them lol

They're adjustable 😉

No problem for me, 20+k miles in.

I don't notice them. I have my AC on auto and vents are in the same position for over 2 years.

Same here, winter went by ok, summer yet to be tested (car received last October).

Personally, I have to direct them all the way up. Otherwise yes, it is blowing on my arm and it is annoying when it blows cold air. Most of the time I shut them completely.

Agree with previous response. They're positioned too low for my liking. Unless set to push the air up near vertically, they just become a constant cold draught....

Pretty useless, always trying to find the perfect position for them, haven't found it yet! 🙄

Also found that they're useless for attaching a mobile phone mount to, because if you do it blocks the switches. 🙄

It’s not 2005 anymore.

Unless you have something civil or constructive to add, then keep your opinions to yourself.

Continued trolling will result in a formal complaint to the moderation team.

I'm another that has them pushed up. Others at home just close it.

It was annoying for about 3.5 seconds until I just redirected it.

Never really thought about them, so no issues for me.

Yes, they kinda suck! You're getting a cold air directly to your knee. You can't turn the airflow away from you, then it will close the flaps. You can only direct them to upper position. Weird design.

Bit annoying tbh especially if trying to get fresh air to the face. Not a dealbreaker. Am 15 months in and used to it.

Never given them a second thought until this thread started. I still can't understand all the fuss.

It is a bit design over function but as most people have said, I just put them in the upright position and forget about them.

Designed to be almost completely useless...Just closed them when I got the car and they stay that way at all times. During the winter when they blow warm air they are fine, but when the AC is on in the summer, using them will lead you to give a call to your physiotherapist. Not a deal breaker to me though.
