Opinions on the fully black emblem

Featured Replies

Has anyone fitted one to their race blue vRS? How does it look? I’m also thinking of changing the puddle lights from “Skoda” to “vRS” anyone fit them?

I have it on my Steel Grey.

I've just ordered one for my blue VRS :)

Probably won't fit it until the weather is warmer though.

Have it on my Graphite Grey and I think it looks brill. I got a set of VRS puddle lamps from Aliexpress that cost £12 delivered - can't post a link as seller no longer offers them.

I notice you have also replaced the RS badge with a black one. How hard was it?

The hardest part is to get the right piece. The front VRS badge is a two piece badge. The back plate and the letters. If you manage to get just he letters like I did, then you just need to remove the letters and put on the new ones with double sided tape. Unfortunately there is no way to remove the original letters without destroying since they have plastic pins at the back which are "melted" on the other side which you need to brake.

If you get a complete set (backplate + letters) then you need to brake of the original backplate and glue the new one with some heavy duty glue.

Here is a picture of the back plate with holes for plastic pins from letters.

Hi guys, just an update here from my side.

I did it with the full set, letters and backplate and so far so good. I used that one:

But it's impossible to use the screws and fixing plate, it doesn't sit properly on the grille and generates tension on the badge, impossible to keep it in place. So you remove the original badge carefully, specially on upper/lower part. Adhesive used in factory is powerful, in my case, part of the backplate was stick on the grille, bit of grinding with the Dremel was needed.

Once grinded, I used 2 compound Loctite super glue and done.

But this one is not original one. It's a different design.

indeed, it's a different one, a bit bigger.

Nice, do you mind me asking where you ordered from?

Benny's Emblem Design on instagram does fantastic repainted OEM badges.

Should give you some idea how it looks...

I got mine from Benny's in grey. Expensive but perfect fit and very good quality

I agree. My front VRS badge is from him. But it's not for everyone since they are not cheap. 😁
