USB connected, nothing happens. But USB is disconnecting and reconnecting...

On your latest message what is the translation on the message at the top of the smart link screen?

 

If the usb connection is cycling it may be the phone or the usb interface in the car is faulty.

Are you referring to Artikelnummer apparat? In that case, it means Part number for device.

So this is Amundsen. You mentioned that you have CANTON sound system. In such setup each speaker is driven independently by a pair of wires, directly from the amplifier (not from teh glove box unit). I believe there are two separate issues:

1. Bluetooth disconnection/reconnection.

2. Tweeters being overloaded

 

One of the reasons could be some SW problem - I will send latest SW (048) on PM.

From what I understand yes, in bluetooth tweeters seem overloaded / distorted.

But also, OP explains smart link does not work when usb is connected. And usb connects and disconnects.

Probably FW update is still a good place to start... See how they go with update....

Thx! It needs to be downloaded to a SD card and plugged into the tech BOX in the golve box. Right? 

 

By the way, i did not have the latest SW I assume??

I will start with updating the software. How is a FW done?

1. format SD (max 32GB) under FAT32
2. unpack to root (metainfo2.txt and all the folders must be placed directly on SD, not in any folder)
3. insert SD card into the slot
4. enter Service Menu (long press MENU button)

But I do have one more question. Why could I only use maximum 32gB SD card? 

I have now tried to update the software without any luck. 

 

I used a 32gB SD card. Formated to FAT32.

Downloaded the software->

inserted diretcly on the SD card without any folders.

->I did not needed to be unpacked after being downloaded. 

->I inserted the card in SD2 unit, I got the message that the container is empty.

 

What could the error be?
