What's This Pipe - Kodiaq 1.5TSI Engine Bay

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm looking for some advice from the knowledgeable folks here In identifying the pipe that's stuck up at the back of the engine bay.

I don't recall seeing it before the car was serviced last week and I'm wondering if the garage have forgotten to attach this back up.

Thanks

It's breather pipe goes from cam cover to turbo. Remove engine cover and refit to cam cover. Has it had plugs in or work recently?

Don't be too rough with it as they can split. That's if it's not already damaged by being on an acute angle. Take it back and complain. I don't know how you could even forget to put it back on.

Yes it had new plugs as part of its last service. You'd think a Skoda main dealer would be more vigilant, makes you think what else they miss or forget 🤔

Did they remember to put the oil in 🤣

I best double check 😂 I might give them a call tomorrow so they can correct their mistake

You at least want a voucher or something for your next visit

I would immediately send that photo to the dealer principal of the main dealer and also Skoda customer services. Also I would probably phone Skoda Assistance breakdown cover if you’re still covered.

Wood not DIY repair it! As a matter of principle. we’re all human errors happen but dealers are supposed to check everything before they close the bonnet!

I had that with a SEAT dealer when they cam belt on my car, cost of fortune and didn’t do it properly left the engine bolts un bolted.

Got a full refund, free MOT and also hamper as a gesture of goodwill. Luckily no engine damage done but it could’ve been quite nasty.

SEAT CS in also gave a credit for next service a main dealer too.

The AA man who came out was absolutely shocked.
