Given that when I plug a USB stick int9 the slot under the armrest, can that be used as well to update?

I don't think so. The MIB3 guide explicitly says: Connect the USB Flash Disc to your vehicle (only in the front part of the vehicle).

  • Hey, a new version of maps have just appeared and MartiniB shared a link for it. The new archive is called OI_P129_EU_202448_Offline_Update and it contains a folder named OI_P129_EU_202448_Offline_Upd

  • I will call them too. I give you an update if I have success on my side

  • Sorry mate, I was totally confused on varsions and skoda site display names.  Pls take my apologies. I downloaded what u linked, and Ill try.    Now it seems I wanted to update the same

Just tried it as I don't have a USBC stick to hand. Downloaded V330 from @vegarz mega.nz link - engineering mode could see the data there but a window popped up to say there was some sort of clash with my current v330. I was under the impression I could go straight from 306 to 330 but maybe I need to install v324 first?

You need 308 first. I did exactly the same yesterday. Cant go from 306->330, need 308 first.

Though able to update MIB3 to 330, the maps still don't update to 2448, still stuck at 2011. Maybe I'm just not patient enough. Drove around for 25mins with USB in, maybe need more like 1h...?
Or is there any update between that needs to be done?

I'm so tired of Skodas Head Unit. I've paid for map updates, online, everything and in the end I'm stuck to downloading files manually. Feels like I've paid for nothing and Skoda supports answers are to pay even more to dealer for updates and troubleshoting and that they never heard of such issues... 🙄

Amazing - sorry if I'd missed that! Will download 308 first then and do that but to those with a port under the armrest, it looks like it is a full data port at least!

I know what you mean - don't bother paying for any more updates except remote connect - then get everything like this. I like tinkering with the car (hence the love of, and support for, forums like this which are goldmines) so I quite like doing stuff like this

Happened to me as well! I've tried Infotainment Online for 1 month and I got to drive a lot then, still, no new roads appeared! But the rest of features were available, like busy road warning signs, road under construction signs, etc. You need to visit a Skoda Service asking them to rewrite the maps, otherwise I'm not sure if we're able to do anything else really at this point!

29Gb zipped is a massive amount of data, it may depend on the read speed of the usb stick etc. Also you may find that smaller portions of files can updated successfully, but the roads is a much larger one and needs much more time to upload to the car?

Well, all of a sudden when starting the car like the 10th time, nav database is upgraded. Though it doesn't say 24.48, instead 24.6

However this is a huge leap forward 🥳

Also noticed that smaller updates were received and installed this time.

So my solution was to update MIB3 to 330, then download the update for nav 24.48 from Skoda.

Thanks to this great forum and it's contributors 🙌

Then it would be nice if someone would put version 0332 online

https://mib-helper.com/show.php?all=firmwares#details

Scroll down to the MOI3_EU_SK ones and the latest available on there at the moment seems still to be 324. Beggars can't be choosers when its freely available I guess...

Oh, I got 330 from https://mibsolution.one/ (sign in is guest for both username and password), but it is insanely slow to respond and there are folders you have to dig around in. Look for a folder called PHEV I think and that has MIB files in.

I know this page, unfortunately there is no 0332 there
Since there is an error in the Skoda system that has no effect, but you can see that a manual update has been made, you can fix it

Mibsolution as v332 for VW, but not Skoda by the looks of it. Interesting on the mib-helper link - will have a look at that later!

This thread is a good timed one for me I just tried to upgrade to the week 48/2024 maps and like others here I get nothing showing when I hit the "upgrade" button no matter what I plug in or connect to wifi.

My System page does state my maps are 24.10, does anyone know it that is the latest?  It may explain my lack of progress so far if its already there?

I upgraded using a USB-drive to 48/2024, and it displayed 24.6 at that point. That is until a day or two ago, when it suddenly started to display 24.10 instead... Confusing... 😄

Mine did ask me to "OK" an update on the screen recently so I'll guess mine has updated itself and maybe 24.10 is even newer than the wk48/2024?

They don't make it easy but they do want you to go pay a dealer I suppose?

Carplay/Waze it is then!

Hi guys, currently I have installed version of firmware 0324 on MIB3. I have stored version 0330 on usb stick. But first I want to be sure that update doesn’t break my coding in the car?? If it is safe I can do it… :)

As I know, there is no button nor an update % what you can see. It is just happening in the background. No indicator.... it is not "Simply clever" by skoda, but it is what it is. It is happening in the background if the car is running. Just let the usb stick in the usb C slot for a while and check the version sometimes if it changed.

OK here goes For an MIB3 You do this IF DOING AN OFFLINE UP DATE The map version comes out as month and year so June 25 is 2506

You find the map you require and download it to a HDD You than unzip or UnRAR (which I use) to another folder You copy and paste the CONTENTS of the UNZIPPED folder to the stick. Size doesnt matter as to how big it is. You should have what has been previously posted. A series of folders but not header folder. Put it in your front USBC slot in the centre console and wait. Firstly look at the info page and write down present map version which might be, say 24.11. After an hour or so check on the map info page and see if map version has changed. ONE THING Our Australian maps only UPGRADE and are only 2 GB whereas the older 2.5 units were 25GB and replaced the whole map. Euros are possibly the same as they used to be bigger than ours... You can also do an offline update using the VW portal as you dont need a VIN and they are the same map with a different file name. Been doing that for years depending on which one comes out first. Also I do mine on a 256Gb stick with 1300 music tracks on it and just load the map onto the root directory amongst the music and unit finds and installs it fine. Ours take about 15 mind per Gb so work it out and you can stop and start and it will just resume till its finished

Hey, what is the format for your USB Stick? Is it exFAT or NTFS or FAT32?
Also, you're using a USB stick which is having a USB-C connector directly or are you using an older USB stick with an USB-C adapter?

i saw a few posts with firmware updates, but not really sure how secure they are.
so basically plug in the USB C and leave it there
even leave it over night ? is the port powered up ?
