DRL eyelash activation/boot close with remote

Featured Replies

hi I'm new to the site and don't pick up my car until Friday but would like to change a few things if possible once i have it.

can the eye lashes be set to come on with the DRL lights? and can you switch these from the dash inside?

can the boot be set to close from the remote?

im slowly reading through the site but there a lot to get through.

i previously had a Passat and used VCDS before on my car.

i have just ordered a new cable as mine was the older hex can cable.

many thanks in advanced for any help.

With mk3 pre-facelift Superb, for DRL eyelashes u need the right headlight, i.e. Bi-Xenon Version B.

This is the Smart Light Assist (SLA) version.

The normal version A headlights don't have the hardware inside the headlight to activate the eyelashes.

U can tell the version of ur headlight by opening the bonnet and looking at the white sticker on top of it.  If the part number starting with 3V ends in B, then u have the right version and u can enable the eyelashes with DRL.

I can share the coding for that if u want.

Is this sticker in the engine bay or on the headlights?

Can the boot be programmed to be closed with the button in the car?

@Frizz - It's on the headlight itself, on top.  Under the black bracket.

FL - means Facelift Superb. 2020 onwards.

Pre-FL - means pre Facelift. 2015 to 2019.

U say that it lights up with the low beams.

That sounds like u have the SLA headlights - that's good. 👍

U should b able to activate the eyelashes as DRLs.

This is the coding I used to activate it.

@Frizz - U definitely do not have a pre-facelift Superb.

Based on the 1st image, u have a Facelift Superb.

The 2nd image is the headlight ballast - no point sharing that.

No point following the coding @MartiniB shares, or shared as that applies to the pre-facelift Superb.

This is the facelift Superb headlight.

has anyone manages to program the boot to close using the remote and the in car button?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we are unable to code a boot close with internal switch on facelift models using VCDS, OBD11 etc.

On pre FL, using VCDS was not the solution. VCP was needed (and maybe ODIS, I can’t remember).

I don’t know what about FL versions.

There is a full thread pinned on 1st page. You should find the answer.😉
