in the area marked by blue, air flow doesn't impact on change ventilation speed neither by driving or standstill

outside: -6°C
oil: 87°C
cooling fluid: 90°C

Climatronic's flaps recalibration have been made several times - procedure instruction:

Do you have auto on? If so you get different temps from the vents or not on at all.

Bit like mine if I have it on auto I get warmer side vents compared to the ones above centre screen, taking it out of auto and pressing the forward only vents “fixes” it, but auto gets the whole car to your desired temperature quicker

Added to the above I wonder if you have some loose trunking under the dashboard on that side that should be feeding one of the vents

@Danoid

Auto + AC all time

@skomaz

most likely something has been disconnected, because blue marked area has no air feeding holes

@BS_Members

can someone report temperatures in mentioned areas, THANKS!

Can you try and redirect it to the wireless charging cubby like Aperture’s job?

p.s. love the house 👌🏻

dealer managed to find some hole which they weren't expected,

same as they weren't able explain where did it come from

just covered holes didn't help at all 😞

No, those holes could not generate such temp difference. I've driven my Range Rover for long periods with various parts of internal trims removed, for various reasons, and yes I have felt cold spots, but not such a massive difference ....

Could you have some blocked ventilation tube or something and therefore "missing" that particular area?

I had years ago the opposite problem, on extreme heat on high fans with A/C on, I would get hot air under my feet, only there. The P38 Range Rover has two fans, at each end of the dashboard, and one central combined heater/AC box. I could not figure out how this was happening, as the flap motors were working properly and moreover the flap from the fan also, and the lower end had no flap of its own.

After like an entire summer of nightmare, on the next rebuild of the interior I've found the internal duct from fan to heater box had come loose, which meant air from the fan - coming from outside, before the box, was not entering the circuit, and thrown instead on the padal area..... so I had been running with half-AC 🙄

Is it outside temp or is it being artificially cooled from the aircon?

Problem becomes noticible when outside tempersture goes under zero °C

Ok so it’s likely coming straight from outside rather than through the air con system?
Can you lay in the footwell, and have someone shine a torch in the engine bay or wheel arch and see if you can see where the source is?

Could be indeed a grommet or something missing in the firewall in the pedal area, or above it, hidden by the dash.

I know it sounds madness to anyone not practical with solving shaize, but can you remove all trim under the steering wheel and A-pillar left side, and see in that case together with the 'cold' you also feel a draft of air moving in?

I would get the footrest out too, just careful with the stupid spring clip of the hood lever that jumps out.

Then drive around and "feel the air" ... put shorts - I am not joking, sometimes is terribly difficult to 'feel air'.

Another option in line with the suggestion of travs above would be lay down in the footwell area, and have someone else drive ... but cannot imagine how that would be 😝

Most funny and ironic is that I bought a "new" car and joined here to start to stay away from youngtimer and oldtimer crap and associated continous faffing around getting the hands dirty ... it seems they are out to get me wherever I go 🤪

My car suffers the same problem, even though it's RHD.  My wife, sitting in the nearside (left) seat complains about a cold left leg when travelling long distances. She is correct (on this occassion!) as others have complained about the same thing.

The hunting season is coming to an end, looks like this challenge moves to the next winter

this week is a first without minuses at day time and next without minuses at all

p.s.

click on links in my signature, previous 2016. Mk3 had lot more problems(small, none interrupted driving)

but by summing + and - of couple full size sedans i bought Mk3.FL again

The glovebox ventilation is always cold. Could it be that the heater output for the right-hand drive glovebox isn't blanked off in your left-hand drive car?

@D402

Thanks for idea!

In LHD car that hole is located on the side of center console,

if RHD is mirrored then cold air pipe is located on opposite side of problem

Please share information about yours, where does the first warm air come from?

Tomorrow I am using the "other" car ... will try to remember for Sunday
