DSG service.

So Called 5 garages up for quotes for this.

2.0 Diesel 2023 7 sp box .

Some say it needs a filter and 2 said it doest and one was Rainworth Skoda.

Do I go with the main agent as correct ?

Of course not! Lookers told me I need a Cambelt change at 5 years on the 280 and was called a “w&>ker” when I said it has a cam chain not a belt. Anyway, you’ve come to the right place to get the correct answer. But I don’t have a clue! LOL! 😂

the manufacturer says that you don't change the filter ,only the oil for the dq381

But it is serviceable, you can find it as a spare part.I did

Main dealers are saying 2nd service before a filter change with a DQ381.     If you were doing the first at 80,000 then this is stupid to then leave to 160,000.        They might not want the messy job of the filter change.   Well do not go to them.      They are a waste of time.    Like the places that say they will not service a DQ381 early.     Be sure to have an extended warranty.  The early failure rate is ridiculous.

I serviced the dq381 by myself, there are plenty tutorials on the yt.

Removing the filter will drain another 600-700ml of oil...is making a big mess on the subframe.

That was 52k km ago.At 60k I'll do it again.

is the DSG service time or mileage critical? My 5 year old superb has only done 14k miles

thanks

They get serviced by miles not years and DSG type dependent.  Sooner than the guidelines if you want.

So are we sayimg the filter needs doing then and Rainworth Skoda are wrong ?

They say mine has no filter ?  And they say 80k miles .

I want it at half that miles and chNge the filter if it gas one .

Imcannot believe how many specialist garages are saying different things .

2023 7-speed should be DQ381 (wet clutch) as far as I know, but could be DQ200 (7-speed dry clutch) according to wiki. Maybe not in Superb.

AFAIK, there is no DQ200 anymore on MY2023...🤔

I thought DSG gearbox oil + filter is every 40k miles where applicable and not every 80k?

So many different versions .

The newer one is apparently 80k but there is absolutely nonway i would leave it that long!

It is dq381, 120k km fluid only change by skoda service book. External filter change is like 10 min job and oem filter cost cca. 30€, so CHANGE IT. Change it sooner like every 50-60k km it is not too expenisve

Soo, having recently serviced my dq250 after 40.000 miles, i can say that there was absolutely nothing on the damn thing and i spent the best part of an hour removing the intake and battery tray on mine. The dq381 is supposedly the next generation.

I hate to say it but the VW group overlords are probably right on this one. Change just to make sure there's no expensive glitter and definitely more often than 80.000 miles

So there we have it. No one use Rainworth Skoda cos they ain’t got a clue what to do….
