That is the exact one I have on my FWD 220 - fits great, sounds good, no drone at all.

More details on my build thread here.

Comparison video of the sound differences....

Thanks @JR RS

I was able to get a good deal in the end, for anyone else, RPM have an eBay shop where this was discounted to £119 but was able to submit an offer plus I noticed that it’s free postage on eBay also which is not the case via their website

I’ve done a lot of looking and comparing. These look too square and not like yours which seem to compliment the inner angle of the cutout.

No criticism, I’m just being picky and will keep looking…

Today I saw a white S6 or RS6, newer model, say no more than 5-7 years passing by, with a throathy sound and with twin double outlets.

As I was in an underpass and the car was turning into a parking, I've noticed the lower valance looks suspisciusly similar to the Superb, and the outlets were not square but somewhat oval, perfect fit for the bumper and did not stick out.

I know is from the area, if I catch it again will look closer to narrow the exact model, but is an interesting consideration.

Cheers for looking buddy; Pretty sure that’s an S6. The RS models usually have a large oval on each side.

I’ll have a look and see what I can find.

The thing I’m not sure about the AMG ones is the other end, where the exhaust attaches. It needs to be 63mm minimum, which it is, but the AMG tailpipes seem to be a massive oval shape so there wouldn’t be a sealed connection but I don’t know if that matters?

An exhaust clamp wouldn’t work so was thinking I could put some self-tappers through given I don’t have a welder etc but then would have to consider them not interrupting the flow (would that be material at that point?) and not rattling themselves loose etc etc.

S6 diffuser looks too symmetrical and slightly rounded. The Skoda diffuser is square cut and angled towards the inner edge. Don’t think it would look right.

Car is currently at the garage having the res delete done, will speak to them about tips when I go back to collect

Car is back and my inner child is very happy, luckily I need to get some fuel at lunch so the long way to the pump it is.

They did have to slightly modify the res delete pipe to fit the exhaust due to a slight bore size difference.

Just been a for a longer drive this lunch time and love it, get little DSG burps now, no doubt my fuel consumption will go down now, also to note for anyone else as @JR RS has said no drone, you hardly notice any difference when cruising along.

Well worth the money, will look into some different tips.

Spotted Merc CLS which has nice tips which are not the normal square/rectangle style, might be worth a look @travs

Cheers @tombee - yes they look the right shape some of them.

Spotted neighbour over the road with a GLC which seems to be the same as originally mentioned and MartiniB’s ones.

I think these would be the sort of thing - seems the right size and slant. My curiosity is the inlet. It’s a massive oval so not sure if that would work.

A decent exhaust shop could make up an adaptor from that oval to the round of the tailpipe. The real issue might be how much room there is for it. How far under the car is the first silencer?

An adaptor could work for sure - I think there's enough room to cut the original adaptor off and slide the replacements on; at which I was wondering about driving self-tapping screws through at particular angles to hold it fast etc. But that feels like a bit of a bodge and the cost-benefit analysis starts to reduce at the point of taking it to a shop.

Fundamentally I like the Sleeper look - little nods to being slightly different are all very well but only if its quick/easy/effective/subtle.

You could just mount tip over the end of the pipe and not feed it in directly but not sure if it would pass MOT like that as I think it would mean exhaust gases aren’t coming out of the intended place I.e the very top Of exhaust.

@MartiniB when you mounted the tips on your exhaust what ID size did you go for? Also I saw that you left 1inch from the box to the end of the tip for mounting, correct?

Looking at this again and have found this but I think the ID is not right

I think the ID is c.63mm. If it’s a little larger then it can be clamped and squeezed.

Having a look under the car, this style of entry and tailpipe entry design looks correct; I just don’t think I ever found the diagonal square cut with that entry. Also I’d need to cut the welds on the existing tailpipe to get them on. I think yours may be naked tailpipes and tailpipe trim clipped to the rear bumper right?

Mine is a 220 so has the downward pipes out of the backbox, so I either need to add a step or new metal to the back box.

I did enquire about the Supersprint system for this car but at over £2k I am not sure it's worth it, I would be happy with just those tips out the back with the standard back boxes, as the res delete does give a nice sound

Supersprint definitely has a fair bit of margin in it for sure.

You can get tailpipes with an angle on the inlet - scroll through the billion on Aliexpress and you’ll definitely see what I mean.

I don't suppose anyone knows the part number for the rear valance with the exhaust cut outs?

In contact with my local PowerFlow centre but the person is on holiday currently so will wait for them to return
