Bluetooth Greyed out, cannot play music

Featured Replies

Hello,

As the title implies the bluetooth in my new Skoda Superb 4x4 from 2012 is greyed out. I have tried every setting and every reset possible, still nothing, the Audio option on my phone is not showing. Searched the internet, found a thread where they say you need to update the software but there isn't any software for a 2012. Other threads say you need to unplug the module under the seat, did that, no avail (it said VW on it, idk what number). Any idea how to fix it?

#EDIT: Sorry I just saw I posted in the octavia forum, if any admin can move it would be apreciated. Thank you and sorry again.

not sure if our cars are the same, and apologies if you've already tried this, but this is how I connect a new device:

it's a little unintuitive as you don't use the centre screen.

(I'm going off memory here as my buttons currently don't work, so excuse any errors. I've also got an Australian car so you might need to reverse the lefts and rights)

using steering wheel buttons, click "back/return" (the arrow button). navigate down to phone, and then if you click the scrolling button on the right side of the wheel (once, or possibly twice) it will open up a menu. in that menu, scroll through until you find Bluetooth or add device, or something like that.

from there it should be easy enough to add the device. you can only add 5 and on start up it will automatically connect to the last device that was added before trying the next one down the list.

hope that helps!

Hello and thank you for the response. I did however connect my phone to it from the centre display, I can only use it for calls that's the problem. The "Connected for audio" is non existent on my phone when connected to the car, hence the bluetooth audio greyed out.
