Replace Alternator Belt and Belt Vibration Absorber

Featured Replies

Hello. I want to replace my accessory belt and the tensioner for my 2.0TFSI engine, engine code CJXA. I ordered parts including the bolts to replace the tensioner. The people at the store told me that, according to the VIN of my car, the bolts would be M8x20. After taking a few pictures, they seem to me to be a little larger, probably M10. Can you help me with information about these bolts? And what tightening torque? Because I searched in different Skoda manuals and in some they say 8Nm+90 de garde, in others 20Nm+45, in others they say 40Nm. I searched for the information here on the forum but I couldn't find it. Thank you.

So, no one can help me with the torque specs for this bolts ?

You didn’t ask the question first time!

But anyway, I can’t help except to say “reasonably tight” bearing in mind you are screwing a steel screw into aluminium. I doubt it’s critical.
