Android Auto wireless

Featured Replies

Hello,

My wife has a Karoq Sportline 2019 and I would like to know if it is possible to get Android Auto Wireless on this software version : MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T, last update was made by dealer in february 2025. I have OBD Eleven with pro plan if it can help.

Bear in mind that it may depend on the phone. My old phone, which I lost/had stolen in March didn't support wireless, but my new one does. My car is 2021, so it may have different software/hardware.

My phone has Android 15 and is compatible with Android Auto wireless, probably hardware and software has changed between 2019 and 2021

There are wireless USB adapters sold to convert a wired system to wireless. But you'd need to research carefully before purchase.

I'm fairly sure that's a MIB2 system which I believe didn't support Wireless Android auto.

Even if it did, in my experience with my MY21 Karoq with an early MIB3 system, wireless AA was pretty ropey! My current MY24 system is much better!

As @Rbz5416 says , to get wireless , you would likely need an adaptor

I got a dongle off Amazon. Works perfectly if just a slight delay after skipping track before the next song flips on.
