2022 Karoq - unable to get correct rear wiper replacement

Featured Replies

Hi fellow skoda enthusiasts.

I have a 2022 Karoq GL72FAK.

I have recently serviced it and have replaced all wiper blades as we're making a horrendous noise.

The rear bosch wiper I ordered based on assured fit from eBay using the registration. Also cross referenced this and A331H appears to be only one suitable.

However this does not fit the car. I have contacted the supplier and they insist that this is correct for the car but the fitting is wrong so I suspect some kind of change during the production run of the car.

I dont suppose anyone has encountered this issue and what the correct replacement is please?

Many thanks.

I got a replacement for my 2024 karoq, it was the A335H

You need this part. Part number is K565955425B 5B01 Wiper Blade. At SKoda Dealers £27.12 its slightly more expensive than Halfords £9.89 for the one that doesn't fit!

I had exactly the same problem with my 2023 Sportline and Halfords only had the wrong type listed - its just the end of the catch thats the wrong size.

Thank you for this. So I assume that there is no bosch alternative available? £27 seems a bit excessive for a tiny single wiper 🤨 ill take a look online now at the part number and see. Very useful info. I looked also on euro car parts but the 2 different ones listed for the car on there are not right either.

Yes thanks for this it looks like the right one. Says on Ebay it won't fit and is 04/23 onwards but looking at the picture of the fitting it may be correct.

If you'd like to wait till tomorrow, I'll go and photo the one on my car

Thank you yes I would really appreciate that. Who would have thought buying a wiper blade would be so difficult 😆

Mk 1 Octavia was the same, only blade that would fit and actually wipe the rear window properly could only be gotten at the dealer, due to the curve needed to match the glass profile. All the others would miss half the swept area 🤦🏼‍♂️

You can change the fitting from the old blade to the new blade if it's simply the fitting that's incorrect? Done that before on a Skoda.

@Piescoffer attached photos of my wiper arm and blade. You might want to read through this thread https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/517703-correct-rear-wiper-for-karoq-sportline-2023/

Although most supplier reference data seems to think the change happened in 2023 it seems it actually happened earlier ( maybe 2021 ? )

Here's the ebay link from which I got mine https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335015979801 and it says its compatible with the OEM 565955425B referred to above

TBH unless they've magically improved over the last year , I wouldnt go anywhere near the OEM ones. On my previous Karoq I replaced the front ones after two weeks, they were awful. On this car, I just replaced the originals with the 3 year old Bosch ones!. I never bothered to replace the rear on the old car but it was terrible on this one and so it too had to be replaced within a few days

edit: just looking at this other thread https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/523328-wiper-blades/#comment-5857130

There's a photo of the two blades together , the A335H above and the A331H below

Hope that helps

Thank you very much for this that seems to explain things better. I will get the one from Ebay and that should sort it out. Much appreciated and kind regards.

I had the same issue recently.

This is what I ended up with (having tried two others!!)

https://amzn.eu/d/5MuV3Iv

I had exactly the same problem about a year ago. I ordered the quoted Bosch blade on line but it was the wrong fitting. After a bit of an argument, the supplier gave me a refund. I then ordered the correct Bosch wiper from my local independent car parts supplier on a Friday morning. They looked it up on their computer and showed me a photograph of it on screen. They didn't have it in stock but got one in for me by the lunchtime. So Bosch certainly do a replacement rear wiper for a 2022 Karoq which is A335H. Everywhere else was quoting the A331H fitting which is incorrect.

I have a 2019 MY Karoq, and can confirm that the correct rear wiper blade for that year is the A331H blade.

The original wiper blades were dreadful so I changed them all-round for Bosch in January 2020. The Bosches have been excellent and are still going strong nearly 6 years later.

Our original ones lasted around 5 years before they needed replacing.
