Skoda MK3 5E5 PLA 3.0 0k-12k

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a PLA 3.0 retrofit project on my 2014 Skoda Octavia 5E.
It's a 1.6 TDI (CLHA engine), with **manual transmission**.

I’ve retrofitted the following so far:
- PLA 3.0 module: **5QA 919 298 B**
- All 12 sensors (front & rear)
- Wiring to the correct T26 pins (radars + buzzer)

Currently the system powers up, but **PLA is not functional** due to communication errors.
I’ve attached images showing the following faults:

- U1121 - ESP_33: Missing Message (no signal from ABS)
- "Coding rejected" in ODIS when trying to long-code ABS
- ABS module part number: **5Q0 907 379 R**

I suspect my ABS unit is not compatible with PLA 3.0.
I’ve already ordered a 5Q0 614 517 BK module as replacement (PLA 3.0 compatible), but I wanted to confirm with the forum:

👉 Has anyone successfully run PLA 3.0 with the R version ABS?
👉 Is replacing the ABS pump with BK enough, or is full online ODIS coding required too?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice!

Thanks for the reply!

I’ve already checked my gateway module, and it’s a 5Q0 907 530 Q (GW MQB High).

Sorry, I misunderstood. Is the 3Q0 907 530 AL module also compatible? And do I also need to replace the ABS pump?
