Strange squeak from suspension, and cylinder 2 misfire

Featured Replies

I’ve got a 2006 Fabia 1.2 12 valve estate,

About a month ago went into limp mode, turned it off, restarted and was out of limp mode, but engine management lamp was on, eventually turned off on its own, then noticed that when idling for a few minutes the engine management lamp lights up, but goes out with a gentle rev,

Done the same thing on Saturday past, put a code reader on it and got cylinder 2 misfire, cleared the fault code, after a day or so rechecked with code reader, fault code back again,

Was thinking maybe bad spark plug, anyone else came across this issue,

2nd issue, just started last evening, on going over speed ramps odd noise, seems to come from the front suspension and then the rear suspension as the wheels pass over the ramp,

Sounds a wee bit like a squeaky toy, but odd that both ends of car started making this noise at the same time,

Again as above anyone else came across this issue

Could very well be a bad sparkplug or failing coil pack. Try swapping around and see if the fault code moves from cylinder to cylinder. As for the squeek my sons mk1 1.2 does the same when going over speed bumps. His just passed an MOT with only advisory being front swing arm bush. Years ago my folks had 1.9tdi that squeaked andthe local garage replaced front bushes but not sure which ones. It squeeked and clonked when braking.
