I dont think that is nessercery.

Its fairly obvious what would happen:

The 1.8T octy would be the fastest on the straights

with my car close(ishly) behind.

The 1.9 SDI would undoutably come last.

Around the bends I'd like to think my car would be quicker as it has uprated suspention and a few other "handling mods". But It would of course depend on the driver and how well they know the road also.

The slower octy would obviously be the slowest around corners too.

Acceleration (0-60) 18.9

I reckon John could get a few seconds off that...

I'm not so sure.... I think you may be surprised at how well the SDI goes and handles, considering it's weight and lack of power

As I am old and sensible, I would not wish to exceed the speed limits on the road. Please find somewhere near you that is running a trackday. That will mean that I can truly indulge myself It will also remove the fear factor of getting caught breaking the law and I might actually try.

If you lap said track faster than me in your modded 2.0 Fabia, I will pay your costs for the day. If I lap faster than you, you will pay my costs, come on here and admit that you are my biatch and that you got beaten by an old bald bloke in a taxi

I have 135 bhp and a top speed of 125+ (The moterawy started getting busy and I got scared lol) BUT she was hitting about 5 k at that speed. Redlines @ 6.5

Sounds about right, the split bushes and worn everything probably make it more like a barel or monkeys though.

EDIT: I'll tell you if no one else will - Jon'staxi has a fancy exhaust, CAI kit and an Ibiza intake thing. I think the power is actually a little shy of 100bhp. However, it has big wheels that may slow it down but help handling.

Yes, the old model is 150bhp. The vRS is pretty much 'chipped' with the extra 30 horses.

It's a fast car, and would take out the 2.0 any time. Not sure on a bend though.

And about Jon's car, I don't know much about it either except it's an SDi. Either these guys are just winding you up, or it's a real sleeper.

If he acctually has 140bhp or something then I wouldn't be trying to defend my car as "the faster car" But he said he has 68 which is half what I have so...
