I had a race with a modified GT Mustang..

Featured Replies

..Yup.

Nicely done up..the new mustang...very low, big 20" bling rims and a wide-body kit..white in colour with red striped down the middle...and it was loud (like my car is now :D )

And I beat it. And I can say I had a race because I ain't gonna have no cops checkin' out this website to haul me in for over speeding on a public road. AND there were cars on the road too. And to those of you who are going to lecture me about driving like that on public roads, sit on this :finger: Ease up, relax, and just picture the read and stop being @n@l about things like this all the time.

We floored it off the traffic lights and were pulling equally up to 60km/h (imagine the noise)...he started edging away quick until we hit a 90 degree turn just up 50 meters...he had to slow down hard, and I din't. That's why I love my suspension setup and my tyres...I took that corner with pure ease at 60km/h. Pulled off again for another 150mtr stretch...up half way, he obviously started to gain on me and I could see him coming up quite quickly...then we hit an S-turn...boy oh boy I love twisty roads, and so does Jasmine...I pulled off so quickly he ended up a dot in my rear-view...then I took my right turn to go home. If it weren't for that corner, I'd be toast.

Nice to see you back on form there Milton

Sweet! Furbys for the win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D

At least you admit it would have had you on a straight. :D Nothing like the handling of a good US car.

I wonder what that driver thought though...'What the hell is a Skoda??'

You once lambasted me for starting a thread about comparing performances between cars,

so....................

YAWN

Ohh shut up Mr. Grumpy...

AND I of all people could not have blasted you for something like that. I usually enjoy reading threads like that. Maybe you confused me with someone else??

Mil..........I can only wonder...but I tell you what , it was one of the funniest threads I've read..."Make Me Superman".. .....ACE..Top Man .....Andy

 It was not supposed to be funny, but nothin makes me happier than cracking people up.

Thirdtimeluck...dude, we're not far off in terms of power. Mustangs are powerful cars and they fly when you floor them. There's absolutely no way we could take them on a straight.

I did have the advantage on the bends however, which is why I AM the winner.

Ha. Me so strong.

hehe yeh man dont worry -im only playing. TBH if me and you were t have a race it would be the best driver that won - not the best car :)

Thats a very nice race.. I love it when American cars lose lol coz they got big engines and very little amount of power... I always leave other cars behind me on breaking/cornering..

Hereis the correct version:

We floored it off the traffic lights and were pulling equally up to 600rpm (imagine the noise as he laughed so hard)...he started edging away as soon as his wheels got traction until we hit a 90 degree turn just up 50 meters...he had to slow down hard, and I din't, because despite my previous thread where I crashed into the rear of another car, the Fabia has amazing brakes. That's why I love my suspension setup and my tyres...I took that corner with pure ease at 60km/h. Pulled off again for another 150mtr stretch...up half way, he obviously started to gain on me because he'd finished filling the car with fuel, paid for it, got some food and was now back on the road - I could see him coming up quite quickly...then we hit an S-turn...boy oh boy I love twisty roads, and so does Jasmine...I pulled off so quickly to bang her behind a bush - the race made her moist He ended up a dot in my rear-view boy, I was glad I took the Fabia today, not the slow AMG super turbo delux tripple charger V16 supercar today... If it weren't for my great story telling skills, you'd be bored,

its nice that it pleased you mil but i still don't believe the other driver was anywhere near as commited as you, when it comes to corners to main three factors 1) cars cornering ability 2) drivers knowledge of their car 3) drivers level of stupidity/confidence

put the same driver in each and see what happens i say :)

Post of the year their Phil, hilarious!!! :D:D:D

A fine post there Mr Gooch :D Sounds like I need to have a go in one of these Fabia 2.0 jobs as they seem to be eclipsing most of the recognised performance cars of this world! ;):D

Chris

Nice one Mil! Always good to show the idle car-magazine copycats with rich daddies out here what a real car can do!:D

People in the Arabian Gulf are so ignorant of what a skoda is - I always see them in my rear-view mirror staring at the car and then obviously making some ignorant comments and laughing as though they're "in the know". NOT!:finger:

Then I hit the magic pedal that turns them into a (smoky) little dot in the rear view mirror, and I just can't see them laughing anymore...... (True "Black Magic"! )

This car rocks!

Cheers

Bas

Phil, I would probably murder you in a race with my car around corners. I had a 350Z last year for 2 hours and had all the time to test it around bends, and it doesn't do that well, almost as good as a 645Ci...and that's NOT a good thing..bearing in mind you have a cabrio, making it the heavier model too. And the coupe is over 1,600kgs kerb weight. The 2.0 litre Fabia is under 1,200kgs. Don't underestimate the 2.0 Fabia's capabilities, I drive it, I know it, you don't. Nice to see you're back to your smart-a$$ self again. Sit on this :finger:

Ben, like I said, I know my car. Just the other day I drove the BMW645Ci for the first time. Absolutely fantastic car to drive on a straight, but cornering is a little scary because it's heavy. The 630ci is a MUCH better handling car and would easily rip me to shreds on the corner...I've had the pleasure of driving both, so I know. I couldn't keep up with my friend who was driving his 1.4 Fabia (while I was in the 645ci around the corner. 1) Size of the car 2)Weight of the car 3) The tyres he was using, Falkens...Falkens are excellent, and they are better than Pirelli.

And again, I had said that he was pulling out on me after 60km/h real quick. And I already said that after the corner he was coming up fast. I have a low car, and absolutely fantastic Firenza tyres to help me with the corners.

I would love to see a day where for once, you guys actually acknowledge the possibility that my car does really well for what it is, especially around bends. I know it does, I've been driving it everyday for 3 years straight.

It may not have 300Nm of torque standard, and it may not feel as fast as a turbo diesel, but it is. Get over it.

Losers.

PS. I feel like a newbie to Briskoda again.

They even see off vrs's ya know... ;)

You go and show them my man!

Wow, why so angry man? When did I ever contradict you ? :(
