Retrofit options for my "new" Octavia 3 Scout

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have just gotten a "new" Škoda octavia 3 Scout 2015, and I am just wondering what are some viable retrofit options i can do.
Can I:
Swap my MIB1 Amundsen screen for the bigger one from Columbus, or i would need the whole head unit for the bigger screen to work?
Does MIB1 support Drive modes? Mine doesn't have the MODE button, but would retrofitting it and some coding be able to enable it or MIB1 Amundsen just doesnt support that option and i would need a MIB2/2.5? Also i've seen some Scout/Offroad mode?
Can a retrofit of a OEM backup camera work with my head unit or do i need a newer one for that swell?

Thanks to anyone who answers.

Mode Button is FeC/SwaP Protection

If you don't have driving mode then can mostly doesn't have it.

I had an MIB amundsen on may 2014 vrs tsi, it had driving mode so it is not an mib thing.

For the screen, you have to change the unit too, the mib1 amundsen is the lower res one

OEM camera can be done but is really expensive and depends on the boot handle. Mu handle isn't the right size for the oem camera so went with chinese knock off

as far as I know you can replace the screen with a large one from a facelift mk3 octavia, there is a ton of retrofit avialable look here https://kufatec.com/en/skoda/octavia/octavia-5e/

currently i'm retrofitting the front pdc system, already retrofitted the oem rear view camera, probablly next heated seats and larger radio screen and maybe if the abs pump support it the PLA system.

To save some money you can buy the wiring loom from them and for examle te rear view camera used, i did that for the front pdc, sensor, pdc unit and center console switch used in perfect condition, just the wiring new.

So long as the glovebox unit is a MIB2.
