I actually contacted 2 nearby dealers about it a couple of wks ago, and I was told -

“We aren’t getting training or proper info packs until October, hopefully a demo car in November, so really won’t be able to do much other than put your name on a possible interest list to let you know.

Deliveries not likely before Jan 2027 being very optimistic.”

Still though, it’s a very interesting package.

Right hand vehicles seem to usually come out about 6 months after LHD.

KPMG, think it was, calculated that RHD vehicles cost 6% more to make than LHD, presumably due to the much lower volumes made.

Epiq looking like a possible car for next year to have instead of my Scenic. Need good rear seat space occasionally which Renault 5 has not got but I can forgive it as it is so sweet.

I've been looking at the Epiq for a while now. It could be the replacement for my wife's current '22plate 64kWh Kona EV.

I need to test drive one because the main reason we want to change is the Kona's ride which is so bouncy & jiggly. The Kona's short wheel base & stiff springs / shocks don't help it at all. Fine on smooth roads but we don't have many of them in the UK. The Epiq is about the same length but with a much bigger boot & a slightly smaller battery / range. We currently are getting 4.7miles/kWh out of the Kona (no heat pump) which is is going to be hard to beat.

None of our local dealers has an Epiq in their showrooms yet. However, the order books are open if you want to buy one? Why would someone order a car without seeing one in the flesh or taking it for a test drive?

Our next car could be our first ever lease car as well.

Talking to Lloyd Skoda in Carlisle they originally expected to have an Epic viewable in the showroom in February, but now hope for January. Simpsons Skoda in Preston however think they will have a left hand drive one to view only in the showroom in mid September. Guess I'll keep monitoring them both every now and then.

I do like the look of the Epiq, and might finally be a move for us from our late model Yeti.

There are a couple of options in Europe that we don't seem to be getting though:

1) Lounge interior with brown faux leather and creme cloth, that looks premium.

2)Electric front seats

Electric seats are listed as coming soon in the uk site. Interestingly if you google sport line trim in Ireland there is already a list price out there for it and says will be orderable in q3 sometime. Ireland only getting 50 first editions. Prediction is for the sportline to roll out gradually as the deliveries take place and first editions run out. I do wonder if that’s gonna tie in with different seats and electric adjustment in the sport line. It’s showing approx €37.5k for the 55 sportline in Ireland. No uk price yet , haven’t googled other countries.
