I have a couple of hatchback accessories to give away

Featured Replies

One is the reversable boot floor, carpet one side and a sort of plastic the other. Both items are in great condition too

Second is a rear sun screen, it's a mesh material in a metal frame that you clip inside the hatch window, it keeps out a ton of heat and you can take it out for winter, you can't see into the car also. My 280 had tinted side windows but the rear glass was not done.

Both are huge and would be prohibitively awkward to post. If you want either you WILL need to come to Swindon.

They are free, of course a donation of draught Guinness tins are always welcome 😇, but no charge for a cuppa or coffee. I'd rather someone make use of them than just throw them

I assume you can message me on here for details

Heading for the bin sometime soon ☹️

Noooo! Don't do it!

Both are fine and mint original parts .... strange no-one came by yet!

Perhaps advertise somewhere with more visibility, some site for 2nd hand stuff?

The boot floor will fit the estate too I would think. I bet that would be gone quick if you change the title

I think they are slightly different as they are different part numbers.

3V5061163 for sedan vs 3v9061163 for extate.

I wouldnt have thought they would make two versions if they are the same dimensions unfortunately.

Otherwise I would have snapped it up!

Hey @Tankdave I’ll take them. Am heading to Liverpool from SW London over the weekend so will detour to you on the way home and collect if that works?

Should pay attention when I type

Well as much as I love my car for me, its also a family car and a bit of a loadlugger on occasion (so the boot mat would be useful) and the rear screen will be good to make sure the kids are comfortable too. Should be good depending on the traffic on Sunday!

See you Sunday, at least it'll be cooler

Believe, the sun screens are a great advantage, from heat protection and also for some privacy aspect ... only problem with it, the clips that hold it are a bit flimsy ... and a funny shape.

After hearing the "klin klin klin" once or twice, now I am very careful when comes time to take them out ... and if I leave the car for wash/detailing, I actually do it myself.

I got the floor mat, and is great also the rubber/weatherproof part, the only drawback is that is heavyyyy .... if you need to access the lower part of the luggage compartment, better to take it out and put it aside.

I've tried a few times to lift the vario floor together with the mat, and boy it proves your muscles ... 🙃

Thanks for the pointers @leolito - tbh I'm not sure I'll ever need to take out the screen except to clean the inside of the rear window on occasion. Mine smoked at the rear so making sure minimal heat effect from there with the kids in the car would be very useful!

Oh man ... I've got tinted/smoked standard and the screen adds to it.

I was actually thinking to add an UV film to it, but I need to get my guy to it, which will not happen anytime soon ...

Now that I remember, viewing through the rear window gets a bit used to, but no big deal.

I’ve got the boot mat, Lee. It’s excellent.

Reg the screen, "if" you find it a bit too dark in the winter you can take it out and stash it in the garage, the very reason I kept the box 😉

Both these items have now found a well deserved home

Cheers for these and the hospitality @Tankdave - yes will see how it goes in the winter.

I do find I can’t tell if the car behind is an unmarked copper but I’ll just get used to that. For the heat and light benefits for the kids it’ll be worth it.

Boot mat going to be tested tomorrow as the Mrs does a tip run…
