Octavia MK3 multimedia upgrade to have Apple CarPlay

Hi all,

I have an Octavia mk 3 from 2015, which has the MIB 1.

I want to make an upgrade to MIB 3 multimedia (glovebox unit + the screen), taking them from a totalled octavia, that is selling for parts only.

Is this possible or the MIB 3 won't be fit for purpose on my Octavia?

If not, what is the possible solution in order for me to get Apple CarPlay?

This is my Device part number: 5E0035819A.

This number was under the glovebox -> 5E1 857 083B

Apologies, I meant 2.5*.

I just want to switch to the facelift Octavia's screen + multimedia.

Factory fitted electric towbar is not releasing after a long time not using

Hi Everyone, I have a Factory fitted electric Tow bar. Last time I use, it was 5 years ago I believe. I tried to use it Today no chance not releasing. It has a green light always but whenever I pull it out light changes to red blinking and tow bar is not releasing. I used some wd-40 and rust cleaner but still result didn't' change. I also tried to pull out the tow bar with bare hand or hit the mechanism with a wood or hammer(kindly), still no chance. Anyone faced the same issue?

Being a big Skoda fan, I joined Briskoda in 2008, I have always promoted Skodas as my companies first choice engineers car primarily the Superb Estate. And they have always been reliable and capable. We therefore had no worries when one of our employees opted to go fully electric with an Enyaq 85X Sportline contracted via VWFS. Upon delivery it was soon apparent the heater did not work. I drive around 500 miles per week, commuting to work and back home. I currently have a Skoda Karoq 4x4 2.0 tdi - manual and I'm looking at multiple Skoda Enyaq models. I want to buy one but I cannot decide what capacity the battery should have and what will be better for me. For 71 miles daily and with me charging the car at home over night, I really don't know especially as the car will be second-hand. With me doing 26.000 miles per year, I'm intending to keep the car for a minimum of 3 years,

Good day to everyone, Help, when oh when will we get an update for our generation of Enyaq. I believe I am on the latest for my generation IV. 3.8 I like my car very much, and being a coupe is very different from the millions of Model Y Tesla that are as common as muck. But this lack of software updates to my model would prevent me or at least make me think twice about another one. Any other members as frustrated as me.

Morning all, I am trying to find the correct size front brake pads for my VRS I bought some from Euro car parts by giving them the registration plate, the pads are 160mm overall length, however upon trying to fit them, they are too short. Does anyone know the correct size before I head back there to try and get the right size? Thanks Dave
