Does anyone know if it's possible to open just the sunroof from the key, without opening the windows?

(When I say open, I mean only tilted open, not fully open)

I regularly find myself wanting to open the sunroof without the windows just in case it would start raining, which usually involves me walking back to the car and climbing in to open the sunroof after parking.

The ideal scenario would be hold for 3 seconds to open the sunroof, then hold again to open windows, but I'd happily settle for not being able to open the windows from the key if it allowed me to open just the sunroof.

Am i missing something, why is a tilted open sunroof ok if it rains but open windows are not?

To quote Forrest Gump, it would have to be sideways rain to get into the car under the titled sunroof. There is a drip edge and drainage tubes than can handle most light rain without getting the car wet inside.

Also it would only be a worst case scenario; if I knew there was rain on the way I wouldn't leave anything open.

And it feels more secure having just the sunroof open rather than windows down if I was leaving the car parked on a street somewhere. Also wind deflectors on the windows aren't really an option in my opinion. They're very noisy and more hassle than they're worth i think.

Just heavy rain like stotting on the roof. As Forestv Gump must surely have known. Hopefully someone can help with this Rather Important Issue. All my vehicles get Wind Deflectors fitted as i have dogs in the car. Some have been EV,s so regularly sat in while charging and windows open.

Not sure, but there is a setting to enable the windows to close if it starts raining...
