Hello there!

I found a red vrs when I was looking at my local dealer (about 10 miles away) but didn't want a red one (although it did persuade me to buy one) - in the end I found my silver one on the skoda uk website in oxfordshire (a good 2-3 hours drive away) and the local dealer agreed to go up and purchase it on my behalf, providing it was in excellent condition.

I lost a little bit with the trade in but it saved me a long drive and meant I could deal directly with the local dealer.

It's well worth searching nationally on the site and asking your local dealer to act as the middle man, providing you can trust them to make sure the car's all ok.

To quote Chris, the manager at my local "we're not going to sell you a dog" - Quite right, I made it very clear the deal was only on if we were both happy with it, glad to say it was  .

Good luck finding one,

Matt

for me the important thing is that the guy who owned it only ever did 7000 a year and was an enthusiast, i have no intention of paying that much for it but thats the asking price, been told by a used car dealer mine is worth a minimum of 3500 and i got a loan for 4000, hopefully i will get it for that if i push him a little. its not too much to come down. plus low miles means not alot of time spent in the car and therefore less wear on the leather etc.

Good buy, and congratulations on your purchase.

v.tempting but can only afford
