Dartmoor Drive pics

Featured Replies

Here's some pics for everyone. Day went OK but for 1 incident which I'm not saying anything about. Not my place. However, some good pics were taken and here they are. Dartmoor as usual showed its inclement weather patterns with some seriously windy rainy weather. And the waves crashing over our cars at Exmouth seafront was quite amusing. :D

God confuses a yellow vRS for a pot of gold....

Gosh - some people just won't get out their cars to enjoy the wonderful Dartmoor weather! Guess that will be down to me then.... :D

GOD! LOOK! My car isn't even vaguely "gold" coloured!

Have a few more pics, yup. But no place for them on Briskoda at this time. :)

I always knew my car was special :P

what was this "incident"??? you can't mention it and then refuse to elaborate

:D

:iagree:

who was shagging then?

What Tigger and no Bex in sight  .......and all them sheep around

:D

The incident referred to involved my car, a Skoda Favorit and a bit of rear end action

The end result was a fairly damaged rear end on my Octy and a written off Favorit

I don't want to say any more until the insurance claims are sorted out but both drivers are ok just a bit shaken up

It is a testament to the strength of the Octavia - the crash structure took the majority of the impact leaving the back end in a bit of a mess but the rest of the car is ok and driveable (just limped my car back to Bristol this morning - there is possibly some exhaust damage as there is a bit of a farting noise at high rpms but basically everything seems ok)

Drive carefully out there - leave plenty of room for braking distance  I'd rather not see any reports of another damaged car on here

I'm really sorry to hear about that. As, you don't want to say too much too soon. I hope everything goes ok for you, and you get your car fixed.

Whoops! Bad luck Dave and Felicia owner... :(

Cheers guys

Its good to know that the Octy is one tough car

Will the exhaust have to be changed back to standard, Or will you go for another Blueflame? It sounded lovely when i drove it.

Hopefully the exhaust is not too damaged and can be repaired (looks like it has been pushed upwards by the impact)

My car will still have a Blueflame exhaust I will make sure of that :D

Nice one! Suppose you couldn't live with out it now! I've got mine coming for the Fabia in the next day or two.

I hope all goes well Dave, and that the correct person takes liability...This must be really gutting!

Aaron

Its a bit of a pain - kind of ruined my weekend :(

But I guess its just 'one of those things' - could have been anybody really - just happened to be me this time :(

Main thing is, your ok!

Sorry to hear about what happened - fingers crossed it all gets sorted quickly and with the minimum of hassle.

Steve

bad news, sorry to hear that. hope it turns out fine :)

Cheers guys

The claim is going through the insurance so I can only hope it is all sorted out soon. I will post up some pics of the damage in good time :)

Hmmm , so the brakes on an octy VRS are better than on a Favorit.....

Who'd have guessed :D

Ouch sorry to hear this... think we've all said in time on a meet the inevitable will happen.
