Was he trying...?

Featured Replies

Has anyone here actually tried a head to head, with say a 172, from a standstill?

Hmmmm.... as I look out of my window - i see a fabia VRS and a clio 172 - and i own both! Very tempting indeed to perform this test! Although I would be forced to allow my better half (with 9 speeding points less than me - i.e. NONE!) drive one of the cars - and face the fact that she would prob beat me anyway!

I have now learnt not to let the missus post unsupervised, as above, I would like you all to note that there are no factual statements above, I would definately not loose... in either car:P , well not that i'd admit it even if I did:rofl:

PS, 172 FF would win every time over standard vRS, a remapped vRS may be a different story, and the clio will always handle better, as it doesnt have an engine that weighs 1,000,000 tonnes:eek:

But I prefer the vRS...

LMAO here,

fabia is great car for its cost etc but it aint the fastest car out there.

I beat my mate in his 2ltr sri Veccy when I first got mine but it was not by much and his sri is the ****ty 140 lump, as for the st tdi mondy I couldnt keep up with one on way home from droitwich the other night on motor way.

Dunno bout mapped vrs as aint got one ( but will have soon lol)

this 172/182 business makes me laugh as my bro has clio and my vrs always beats it even at stand still! cause 172 is at stealers being fixed all the time lol
