Official: LTD ED FABIA vRS

I could see people trading in just for Maxi Dot. To be honest that spec looks more promising for the final edition vrs.

But who says that's the UK spec, We already know the UK car will have leather?!?!?!

Who actually reported that the UK car will have leather?, all just hearsay till we actually see the car.

IMO - the allu trim, maxi dot, elec roof and tinted glass, red calipers, met blue paintwork, Xenons will be final spec - and the price similar to that of the current model. Let's be honest who here will spend 14k+ on the outgoing vrs Fabia, then spend another £800 to load it up with options?

The guy from Skoda UK who wrote the letter in the first post of this thread, said it would have leather!:P

I think i've found my next car

glad I got black and didn't wait for this..looks ok though

What are you talking about, it looks stunning....wub.gif

Me.

And me!

I think i've found my next car

What you haven't bought one already? ;):D

Skoda... if your listening.... drop it lower than standard.... and bung all the excess octy mk1 alloys on them... oh and chip them all to 150 brake... thats ltd edition then!

No, I resisted the urge as I wanted to see the special.

Will park it right next to yours st the next Div meeting :p

Skoda won't do this. It would increase the Insurance group and make it too different from standard. Something they will not contemplate with a 'run out' special edition. All the changes will have to be 'cosmetic'

ie. Sunset glass, Blue metallic, Leather Seats, cd autochanger, cruise

just the octy 1 alloys would be enough... wub.gif

:iagree: Need to be a bit more different.

Who care's if it put's the insurance up a bit if it's a one off, beasty little limited edition? That's the idea with it being a LTD edition isn't it, not standard otherwise there's not much point?

Insurance wouldn't bother me too much i don't think, plus the colour is quite nice.

I'm quite happy with my current Limited Edition vRS. :D

I'm of the opinion that the Stutter is not an issue with new vRS's. Certainly it isn't on mine; you do get it very occasionally but it's so minor as to not be an issue.

Sorry to say it's an issue on my MY07 vRS, and also on my father's MY07 vRS too (the sod bought the same car as me! Dealer owes me commission IMHO).

It's particularly bad on my father's car. So, alas, the stutter is still in evidence and Mr Jack, you are lucky indeed that it's not a problem for you.

HTH:thumbup:

Hello,

In France, it's a Fabia vRS Last Edition, +- 120/150 exemplaires, +- 18 200

Yep, it has Xenons.

Not sure it suits that colour. Would have see it in the "flesh".

A lot of people care about insurance groups

FACT IS: They wont increase the power for a 'run out' model

Well , I'd have one if I could afford one! Maybe in 2 years time......

I really want one of these I think this car will look wicked but why when you ask a skoda dealer for info they look like you just asked them an algebra equation do you reackon this car will only be available from skoder dealers or from online sources as well

Don't understand the way insurance groups work anyway.

My Bora TDI 130 Sport is in Group 13, vRS is in 9, but there is about £20 difference with some companies and with some a vRS is actually dearer than the Bora. Just had a quote for a Porsche 968 which is in Group 20 and it was only £100 dearer than the Bora. How does that work?

Perhaps this is a post another time though....

insurance companies mash their palms on a calculator, the resulting number is the price of your insurance, in pounds sterling :)

FACT IS: They wont increase the power for a 'run out' model

Yeah we already know that it hasn't had an increase, we were saying in our opinion it'd be good if they did, other people tweak the power a bit on special editions:

Thurlby Motors Limited - Thurlby 888 Astra

If people can't afford the insurance thats up to them to decide but i'd say there would be a fair few willing to pay a few more

Probably old news but I got the following reply today from Skoda customer service in response to a simple question I asked them on Sunday the 28th Jan 2007.

"Dear Mr Smith,

Thank you for your email and for showing an interest in the new Fabia vRS limited edition.

I can confirm that the new Fabia vRS limited edition will be available in Race Blue Metallic, with leather seats and red brake callipers. Further specification and pricing information is not currently available but will be released around March time when the vehicle can be ordered through a retailer.

May I recommend that you keep in contact with your nearest retailer and www.skoda.co.uk for all up to date information."

So thats my search for a new car sorted then. I just hope its not someone at Skoda UK taking the mick.

if it helps, ive just bought a vrs and the sales guy did say there was a limited edition but it would be more expensive to run re : power output - didnt give me any specifics though
