That will be another good reason for having one, to let extra light into a cab with blackened windows, but both are left hookers, going on the door lock position, so lets hope it comes as standard.

Ah yes, but look at the rear view mirror. These look like LHD versions. Maybe the spec is different.

Actually, I think the colour looks quite attractive. Bear in mind the picture looks like it was taken on a cloudy day and the cars look grimy anyway.

The thing that seals the deal is that IMHO I think that the new Fabia is a poor effort looks-wise compared to the 'old' one and therefore I want to get as new an old one as I can and if it just happens to be a limited edition then that's a bonus.

I know buying a model with no shelf life left in it is crazy from a depreciation point of view but lets all be realistic here, this is still a (relatively) cheap car and its a personal decision - it'll be MY car (and incidentally I tend to keep my cars for 5-7 years). I mean its not as if I'm blowing £21k for a 'last-edition' Mini GP when the new New Mini looks virtually the same as the old one!

It will be interesting to know what Skoda do with any remaining old versions as the new ones are immanent. Will there be an overlap? Presumably they'll be taking offers. I remember the new Micra coming in and the old ones being knocked out at less that 5k.

I'm not too sure.

I like the colour but imo it just doesn't seem to suit the car as much as I hoped it would.

It's hard to describe but the car looks like it's trying too hard to be something it's not (the same can be said for the yellow)

Plain, semi-refined colours suit it better as the car is more that than a showy, sporty number. I may well change my mind if I see it in the flesh but for now I'll say it's a car that is trying too hard to stick out from the crowd.

what exactly do you gain from this "limited" run?

I have been thinking about swapping mine recently, but don't want to spend any more per month on a car. This limits what new cars I can get that are still fairly nippy (and can be tuned!).

I test drove an Ibiza FR the other day and hated it...

I did think about maybe getting another Fabia and just swapping my bits over to it, but I've been told that the new engine isn't as tunable as mine, and they don't even put the plastic protection trays under the body now which smacks of penny pinching so I've gone off that idea too... Special Edition or not.

So I'm kind of stuck.

Exactly what I'm doing with mine. Warranty runs out in about 6 weeks, so I'm going to book it in get any minor niggles sorted, or just get the garage to give the car a once over, extend the warranty, do my MOT then hold onto the car for a couple more years. I'll start looking again when new Vrs is on the secondhand market.
