135 indicated still going but too much traffic. Fastest though 75 in a Hillman Imp Californian - very scary, even the concrete post in the front to keep nose on the ground was rattling!

170 gps in Octy Mk2 vRS, although only the once....wind must have been behind me, as it would only pull 160 on a regular basis.

In fact, me and Des once passed a 650 Bmw Cabrio who had hit his limiter on a 2 lane motorway at 160 mph. His face was a picture. Also I have memories of chasing Des at 160....then he pulled in and took his wing off, and I couldnt chase him any more :( :D

144 GPS in my Fabia vRS.

*When I say motorway, I mean Autobahn.

Speed isn't a problem today - most family cars will do at least 100mph.

But 30 - odd years ago I remember being in one of my mates cars when he hit 130 mph on a Scottish motorway.

The car? A 1965 Jaguar 3.4 litre Mk 2. Overdrive 4th. I'd never been so fast before in my life.

130 mph in the Octy is fast, but rather "easy".

130 mph in the big cat was impressive :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

this is true, when in an older car the results are more impressive...

when my old lancia was made, not many cars could crack 150, but the thema turbo could

162 mph :D:D:D

162 mph :D:D:D

Not in the Kia though, did you drive at that speed or were you asleep in the back? :P I've had a Picanto over 90 mph.
