When cars take over your life!!

Featured Replies

Small confession here, I've got to be careful, its a secret between me and my dad (ooo, err!).

A couple of years ago, my mom and sister went away for a week. My dad had some petrol which had water in it, so we put it in the freezer to freeze the water and then just pour the petrol off. Worked great except the taste of petrol was in all the food in the freezer and had to be thrown and the freezer defrosted! :o

My dad and I were giggling like school boys the whole time.

I just cleaned my alloys in the bath :o

There is brake dust all the way up the walls.

No one tell my mum!!!

This is what I like about you EE; you can almost always come up with something that makes me :D or  .

I know the feeling all to well.

I only have now one set of 4 p-slots wheels my bed room.

Just shifted most of the spares from the bedroom to the shed after constant moaning from SWSBO. At one stage I had 2x 800 front wings, bumper & rear bumper, 4x 800 door glass, 6x door interal 200/800 panels 1x dash (200) 1x full standard springs and dampers (fabia vrs) 4 x alloy TT wheels 4 x rover 800 alloys, SMIC, strut brace.

And EE you do make me chuckle at times!

Blimey EE - glad I don't live in your house! :P Saying that you're probably glad too

My mum goes mad when ever we bring anything car related in to the house, as a concequence we have a greenhouse, tripple garage, shed, all full of all sorts of carp from all sorts of cars.

The only conseccion i have managed is 4 mega rare 13"x7" peugeot wheels with road legal slicks on that are being used to support 1/2 of my desk because it has a 32" tv on that side.

When i was at uni we were all car nuts, and at one point despite only having 2 parking spaces we actually ended up with 3 complete (ish, one had been chopped up with an angle grinder) cars in the back garden, plus a trailer full of spares, the kitchen floor was a mess of a

complete interior (24V Granada)

Random assortment of piston, cranks

Tools- pretty much anything you would need to stip and rebuild a car

Parts of Mk1 MR2 engine

There were a pair of mint RS turbo recaros knockoing around the house,

It was also decided that we had an ideal kitchen table for Valve grinding partys oh the fun, all by hand too!!!

thats a bit like when i decided to stick the hubcaps in the dishwasher!!! came out brad new:P

We cleaned a gear box casing off the mini in the dishwasher - that came out like brand new too but |Nevs wife wasn't impressed.

Oh, the advantages of living alone...in my own house :D

my car parts are in the garage.....

4 steel wheels with tyres (standard 14s off the fabia combi)

dog guard for my fabia combi(i got it with the car and dont have a dog though i may use it when i go on holiday later this year with my girlfriend and some friends just to load up the car with luggage)

and a pair of orange indicator lenses for my old punto 75sx (a car i no longer own)

Ha try being a techie for a living, then your whole bleedin life revolves around cars. My house, garage, workplace is full of automotive stuff.
