Never.

I keep thinking about getting a Bluetooth headset because it would be useful in other situations as well, but I haven't got round to it yet. Even then, I don't think anything is so important that it can't wait for me to pull over in 5-10 mins and call the person back.

Personally' date=' I put it on loud speaker and rest it on my chest.

Even this breaks the law. The handset must be fixed in place to be used.

So' date=' if a lady were to "wedge" the phone in to her clevage, would that be ok? :D

People have to start looking at this like not wearing a seatbelt or even drink driving. Fact is if you are using a phone whilst driving without it being genuinely hands free it's dangerous.

Have to agree - I'm constantly amazed by the number of people prepared to spend thousands of pounds on a car, (probably) hundreds of pounds on a phone, and not spend

Funny you should say that - I walked past a lass the other day in town and she had an, er, significant, cleavage (not that my eyes were drawn to it of course :D), and wedged in the middle of the enormous pink orbs the was a bright pink mobile phone.

As soon as I got the Octy I had a Cat 1 alarm and Bluetooth handsfree fitted.

The number of people who still use mobiles while driving amazes me - went a walk tonight. At the end of our street a woman was turning in, gassing on her phone and steering with one hand

Closely followed by a 38 tonne artic with the driver doing exactly the same :eek:

He was turning too :thumbdwn::thumbdwn:

Remember, Rob, you're upside down - that was her backside ! (-:

i hate myself.

only if its my phone, and my jabra is dead.balls to the work phone.

going to put my jabra on charge right now.

and give myself 40 lashes.

I have a Samsung D600 so cannot get a proper cradle but I always use a bluetooth headset and keep the phone in the ashtray under the head unit.

Technically speaking it's probably still illegal but at least I only have to touch the phone if I want to dial out - just putting the headset on answers it if it rings while I'm driving.

Way I see it is even if that's not legal I'm doing all I can so stuff them!

Hate people who hold it to their ear while driving - Rsoles!

I have a fully integrated car kit, but, sometimes if I'm in a different car, without handsfree, I may answer it if the car is stopped in traffic.

If you drive whilst using a mobile you need locking up before you cause a serious accident and kill someone. Its about time drivers got the message.

:iagree: The Fine is not a deterant..........Make it a Grand and 3 points....Better still a 3 month Driving ban, The roads wouldn't be as conjested.........:)

I have been at traffic lights. The car behind, driver on phone and a Police car was behind him.....Police don't seem to be bothered, too much paperwor!!...

Could take the French approach and make people run over their phones or jump on them. :D That'll get the message across.

I don't like distractions when driving so if the phone goes off, I'll bash the end-call button and let it go to answerphone. Then I'll find somewhere to pull-over and take the call.

I'm not sure if you're talking the p*** there - do there do that?

I do that that confiscation is a great idea for this. Appart from costing more than the fine, it also ensures that they won't do it again immediately!

I've got a cheap holder that sits in the air vent and have it on loudspeaker. It astounds me how many people I see using and holding their phones whilst driving. I overtook a one series earlier that was only doing about 45/50 in an NFL, as I was going past he was getting shouted at to get off his phone by my passenger :o

Not every Police officer does nothing about it, I know one that is so annoyed by seeing people on their phones that when they stop them they go over their car with a fine tooth comb. After all, if you think it's still acceptable behaviour to use your mobile who knows what else you could be doing?

Hang on - I've just noticed you said she had a pink one wedged between her boobies....

:naughty:

Wrong.

Brodit do a D600 phone holder specifically for it. Bolt it to a dashmount bracket or something and there you go..perfect.
