New Fabia. Where is the VRS and high performance?

Recommended Posts

Might be useful for you to know that the Seat Ibiza(PQ25) FR should be available for the 1st of the 09 reg... With 2.0TDI-140hp(?PD or CR?) as well as with either the 1.8TfSI 160-180hp or 1.4TSI 140-170hp Cupra about 6-12mo later with 2.0TDI-170hp(CR) as well as with either the 1.8TfSI-170hp+ or the 2.0TfSI-211hp+!!!

Based on that we can anticipate that the new vRS may be available sometime between the FR & Cupra. With the less powerful & cheaper engine options...

Picture of the new fabia vRS.

Looks pretty good.

Think its a 1.4 petrol putting out 170bhp.

Dunno how, but read that somewhere.!

Could be wrong though.

Michael

Sorry to burst your bubble but thats the S2000 rally prototype has a naturally aspirated 2.0 making northward of 280hp... Has been covered quite a few times as well do a quick search for more detailed threads on it.

Whilst viewing the new Superb II last week I was informed by the chap from Skoda HQ that the Fabia VRs II will be out sometime 2009 and will be launched with a 1.4 TFSi engine - no diesel!

I personnally think the death of the 130pd lump has a lot to do with skodas decision to go petrol next time. The new VAG CR dervs are smooth but dull compare to the bucking bronco 130pd.

OBTW the new Superb is exactly what it says on the tin - top job Skoda.

Good news for all you Derv. vRS fans! With VW showing off the Mk6 Golf Bluemotion{@Paris in Oct.}running the long anticipated 1.6CR-TDI. In this version it has the same power output as the ancient 1.9PD-TDI 105hp currently available. Seems to be the same 250nm/184lb-ft of torque as well, So seems real promising!!! Wonder if when turned up to say 135hp if the g/co2 might stay under 119 as this new prototype will produce only 99g/co2!
