It's probably not installing it then Paul. Check in the Ross-Tech folder for the ug file.

Sounds like the known (and mentioned above) bug, worst case is you'll have to download 803.4 manually and install it then. It should work fine when updating from 803.4 to future versions.

Just had an update from VCDS it's still 805.1 but DATA Version 20081017. and it actually updated through the live update and thats a first for me i'm running a fully updated VISTA home Premium by the way.

VCDS Release 908 and Beta 10.3/10.4 have been replaced by the new Release 10.6 - available as 32 and 64 bit Version, the installer will automatically determine which one to install.

Version 10.6.1 has just been released anyone know of changes?
