i Never said simpsons car was all i said was it is entirley possible after all mitsubishi can squeeze 407bhp from a 2.0:P

I don't doubt that it's possible but not for £650  . Getting that kind of power would cost you in excess of £10k.

You're winding me up now, £650 = 240bhp MAXIMUM end of, period, fineeto, the end!!.

im not winding you up at all

Like i said im 95% certain that the brochure in the garage said (what i though was 255 but infact is 270bhp) it cost 1350 euros. There were 2 prices one was 700 euros which i assume is the software remap and the 1350 is for the intercooler and remap dont forget im not in rip-off britain things are cheaper over here

Like i said ill check on friday and if im wrong i shall apologise change my identiti and join a witness protection programme:rofl:

Did you click and drag on my signature btw?.

Have a look here too!!.

Carl

I don't think it's negative waves mate you just need to listen to the voice of experiance.

I would be very surprised if you could get a remap, Turbo and Intercooler for £1350 let alone 1350 Euro's.

UK Prices you'd be looking at that £1350 for a Turbo, plus £600 ish for the Intercooler and most Remaps are £400 upwards.

If you want a little more background information, highlight the blank area in Steve's signature to reveal his spec and then do a search on REVO and Rolling Road days.

Will do:thumbup:

I thought it were cheap myself but ill check the brochure again on friday unless ive got one knocking round here somewhere im sure it was 1350euros but ill check:thumbup:

Also bear in mind mitsubishi can get 407bhp out of a 2 litre 16valve engine

Is that all. :D

OOPS:O :o :O :o

I made a mistake the price for the 270bhp is 5800 Euros:O

The price for the 255PS is 1350 euros. The small print says this varies from engine to engine but the minimum is 245PS and is a software remap and new air filter (presumably like a pipercross or something):o

So as im a man and i always admit when im worng here goes

MAKEFISH, VRSStu I Apologise in future i shall listen to my elders and make sure i read leaflets properly. I shall stick to what im good at which is military problems and computers and leave the Tuning buisness to those in the know:O

:)

i think 245PS is a little OTT too seeing what i've seen

Fair do's -- were all human after all!!

Bloomin eck 5800 euros for another 30bhp - if your lucky -- makes the chip tune look like a bargin

The first upgrade is always the best bang for buck, then little increments cost more.

IIRC both Sportec and another company do 300+bhp upgrades, but if you have to ask the price, you cant afford it.

some moaning old goats getting all fidgety over claimed BHP :P

No problem mate, no need to apologise and a bit less of the elders!! I think if it were that cheap we'd be doing a Group Buy on the Euro Tunnel!!!

No probs, would be interesting if someone were to try out their software to give us something different to look at other than REVO!.

Now I'm confused,

Who said the car has 295bhp? Are we talking at the wheels or flywheel, when were talking power.

Having driven the car in question, all I can say is it's bloomin quick, quite a lot quicker than a standard one., but 295 is over optimistic.

If someone organises a rolling road session fairly locally, I'll bring its twin down and we'll see what its got!:P

I'd be interested in that too  .

Just out of interest, what's the latest spec of it now?.

The modifidcations done to the car(s) is as follows

Induction –

Pipercross Panel filter

Exhaust –

Pipe Werx Custom build consisting of

3” Down pipe

100 Cell ‘race’ catalytic converter

2.5” Cat back system

6” Oval tail pipe

Engine –

APS Stage 2 remap, to run on 98 or 99 Ron super unleaded (which I think was a Revo map)

Wheels –

Team Dynamics 18” Pro Race 1.2 finished in white,

Tyres –

Pirelli P Zero Rosso, 245/40 r18

Graphics -

Custom design by Tim Eaves

As I have said I have no idea of the power, but we're happy with the way it drives.

im thinking about getting the abt remap done as its covered by a warranty that if the skoda warranty wont cover it and its a fault of the remap they will pay for the fix. Plus its done by the VW Mechanics at the garage near me in Germany

Just gotta talk SWMBO into letting me have it along with evoms kit , Koni & Eibach, Miltek Exhaust, Forge Valve, MFD2, Stu's Cruise Control and xenon's

Looks like ill have to go to Iraq to earn the money for it all first tho

Basic modifications then! 295hp? laughable!

I'd say about 240 maybe 245 at the flywheel - depending on who's rollers you use. ;)

I'd say you were about right - depending on who's rollers you use. ;):D
