sorry just realised i put this in the wrong place should have been in with new octavia threads

Very interested by the title. 295bhp? How does that work?

I'm sure that the car will be mapped to give a little more ooomph but 295bhp ain't possible without some expensive and serious surgery, 240-250bhp is more realistic and likely.

Edit: The latest piccy has vRS livery plastered all over it.

spoke to john sales manager at simpsons he said it has been built for them by ,and don't quote me on this ,powerwerks at preston he told me the power out put too ,i am sceptical as the breaks are standard items and although very good you would expect uprated stoppers for that sort of increase .

The picture of that white octy is the same as the one on my phone that i had no idea how to get on here.Apparently there are 2 of those cars one on the road and one at colne £19995. With warenty by the dealer for 295 bhp is a bit of a steal though.:thumbup:If it is what it is proclaimed to be.

I think you'll find that's pipewerks - thay made the exhaust.

295hp isn't really possible without some major mods.

The brakes should be ok, they are pretty good anyway.

May be it requires a removable rear strutbrace?

I don't doubt that some of you say is correct about the power i have been tuning and modding cars for a long time and know exactly what it would take in time and expensive parts to get this level of tune next time i speak to them i will try to get an exact spec off them should be soon as i am one of the unlucky 1000, deposit down no car no answers.

and breath..

Stu, When you mention major mods, I presume your thinking of an uprated Turbo. I don't think the standard turbo would last at 275-295 very long.

Sorry Mr perfect.

That's quite alright, think nothing of it.

I'm not sure the standard turbo could flow enough air to make that much power. There is also an underlying issue with fuel supply which may require an uprated fuel pump. I don't know that anyone has published figures of what the stock internals can take except to say it's quite a lot.

To get a safe power in the S3 they changed the turbo and uprated some of the internals.

The OEM turbo CANNOT attain that kind of power, would have to be changed to something different.

Speaking from experience.... :P

Sort of ;)

look at this link it shows the max power a 2.0 TFSI engine produces as standard

List of Volkswagen engines - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Not sure of your point, - I assume this is the range of outputs that the 2.0TFSI produces across the number of variations, i.e. Audi S3, Seat Leon Cupra, Golf GTi, Golf GTi ED30, Audi A4 Special Edition etc.

Not sure which car uses the 170bhp variation, - is it a Seat Leon?

Nope. 2.0 TFSI Engines are in car's abroad you know? ;)
