Greetings Skoda lurvers !

Featured Replies

Hello,

My name is Ian and I have joined your forum as I think you have similar ineterests to me, namely motorsport. I, however, do not have a Skoda (sorry, must have lost it somewhere :( ) and realised I may be entering a lions den here. However I am not motorshy and drive a modified Supra which unlike a Skoda, handles like a wet brick. Which is nice.

Anyway, a buddy of mine called Stu pointed me in this direction, I too run a site (www.wlnet.co.uk - thats not a plug - I need all the friends I can get!) which as you can imagine has some Supras on it and our own forum.

I am interested in your meets/events and so long as you dont do a Skoda Italian Job on me, would lurve to join you on track days etc.

Cheers

Whitelightning

All cannonballers are welcome!

Ok.

If you dont mind a Supra amoungst your Skodas.

I could try to disguise it, has anyone got some badges and a sledgehammer?

It also doesnt go round corners (well come on - its a Supra for goodness sake) so Im sure all that brakehorse power will mean diddily squat.

I have looked at the event site and I think I may be able to test my newly installed NOS out on the 2 mile run. I had better ring the AA and pre-book a tow for afterwards :)

Ok, where do I sign up and who do I pay ?

To offset the cost I will bring the gf along who can sell shortcake at the track side lol !

Awwww thats my baby. So who are you then ? Are we buddies or have you filled a law suit against me recently ?

I don't think we met, but I was at the start of the Canonball to see of Stuart & Wendy (and enjoy the day out with SWMBO and Q-jr). Took loads of pictures: http://www.notalot.info/gallery/cannonball

Q - that looks familiar to me aswell... Weird that ain't it? Was I also at Sherborne? Did I also get a flippin speeding ticket on the way home - It's not ME that's supposed to get caught - it's the bloody CANNONBALLERS!:D

WL

you bringing 3 supras? some friends? or has sir arsed up the online booking.....?

Welcome to the site.

You are more than welcome at the trackday. I love Supra's, but unfortunately insurance companies don't agree with me owning one just yet!

Ian, posted this on your black box reply but added it here just in case you dont read it.

Maybey quick in a straight line, remember the mountain stage on the Cannonball !!!! I think a Skoda went from 5th to first in one monouvre & from memory I think 2 of the others were Ferraris & wasnt it an M3 in front !!

I would add in your defence that when I was running 150 going back to calais you did go past "rather quickly"

Stuart

Oh kewl, I am looking forward to the event. Must admit the Supra has had a little work done on it since the cannonball (all engine work =

Just checked out the spec of your car on your site.. very impressive!!!.. hope youve booked the optimax tanker for the trackday too ;)

Ive driven a 440bhp twin turbo model (think it was twin turbo) and that was damn quick.. youll have to take me for a spin in that monster :)

Welcome to briskoda

I reckon your Supra will go round corners quicker than my taxi :(

;)

I reckon your Supra will go round corners more sideways than my taxi :(

I can see a very (dis)orderly queue forming for runs along the 2 mile straight. I for one would like a little trip having never really experienced mega acceleration / top speed (apologies to Jon - your RS was pretty quick :D)

Strewth - Tell u what - everyone bring a spare container of Ron98 !!

Truth be told I dont think its very fast but cabbies can be arranged.

Dont forget this is my normal car and I go to work in it. Im not rich enough to have a second car and just pull it our for track events, so I dont want to destroy it lol !

Jason, Initial acceleration would feel quicker in Jons but once the Supra starts to wind up just hang on & smile
