The race is on Saturday coming folks; Don't ask me why, but races from Assen are always on Saturday.

Just seen the early free practice sessions, with Stoner leading the board at the moment, Rossi is 4th. Mr Elias has broken his femur..........big ouch!!

The reason for it being on a Saturday escapes me.....for now. Will get clipboard and anorak out and look into.

Unlucky for Elias, not sure why its a Saturday race. Maybe something to do with religon :confused: . I'll have to set the video as I'm in work . Must also set it for Qualifying tomorrow.

I don't know this for sure, but I've a notion that it might be something to do with religion. Still seems odd though, since Zandvoort and all the German and Belgian tracks run Sundays (well, except for the Spa and Nurburgring 24 hour races obviously).

Now Vermulan is top boy with Stoner second..................and Rossi 11th and almost 2 seconds off the pace.

Which may be very relevant, or not even slightly relevant, since qualifying was a wet session.

From the commentary team they mentioned Thursday.

Must say the Bike colours look the business, bit hard to make out which is Vale & which is Edwards.

Btw Vale didn't look comfortable at all on the bike during Qualifying. Stone made it look like it was on rails, did anyone see him get on the white line a couple of times......lucky he didn't go barrelling down the road. The onboard footage of his face was brilliant, he didn't bat an eyelid .

Classic Rossi!! Takes the pi$$ for a couple of laps near the end then shows them why he's still The Doctor with 3 laps to go!! Is it just me or does he make winning look like alot more fun than the others???:confused: Love watching his talent:thumbup:

Certainly Vale was "suddenly faster" than Casey. Whether it was down to general tyre husbandry, an iffy tyre choice by Casey as he claimed, or the Duke engine putting itself into a fuel saving mode when Vale was in a position to take advantage I'm not sure we'll ever know.

What might show it up either way is a few more races where the Duke really gets pushed.
