can I ask before I commit, looking at RobClubley's photo, it looks like it sits close to the ground. Has anyone had any problems going over speed bumps??? especially those little humps that don't span the road, but sit in the middle of the lane. I am surrounded by the blighters!!

I've not heard this being a problem, but yes it seems to sit quite low maybe someone who as one fitted can confirm.

I wondered about it catching but I haven't had any problems. The lowest parts are the end/drop links which are so close to the wheels that it's not going to be a problem. I certainly haven't had any problem with mine and I've been to germany, on/off ferries, parked in grassy car parks and parked on a kerb or too....

Thanks

I'm going to have one anyway :D

Do you think it's worth changing any of the bushes at the same time?

Was thinking of doing the powerflex!

Cheers VRSPhil. Will risk it for a biscuit & order one. Managed to talk her in doors to let me have some spendo money, So defo put me down for 1 please.

Regarding the ground clearance, looking under the car it doesn't look beyond the realms of possibility to fit the links upwards above the damper bolt and run the bar higher.. just a thought worth playing with..?

I've had no issues with ground clearance and there are some pretty dodgy roads here in NZ :D

I scraped one side once in a lumpy carpark but no damage done.

if we get 10 do we get 20% ? :D

I'm fairly certain you couldn't run the drop links the other way with the bar above. It's not very obvious in the photo's but clearance is tight and I'm sure it would foul on the trailing arm.

HI Mark

I'll do the registration later on - in the meantime can you let members know that yet again there are supply problems with Whiteline Australia

I've asked them to reserve as many BWR15Z and BWR15 (non adjustable) as they can for me.

will keep you posted

cheers

Julian

Re the clearance: I fitted one of these to my Elegance Estate some time ago and was concerned at first about the height of the drop links. In practice they have never been a problem - I even stopped on a few of those car width hump type speed bumps to check the clearance and they were nowhere near touching.

billy

Boxes are more than strong enough for even the hardest of drivers imho, I have my boxes facing down so there should be more torsional strength and they dont collect to much dirt and debris this way.

yes, it would be much better to turn the boxes round so the open faces are vertical.
