How odd -

There was a chap on here not so long ago who was looking to do just this....!

Chris

THIS GOLF IS NOT ONLY IDENTICAL TO A 15000 POUND R32,BUT IT SOUNDS IDENTICAL ASWELL

There is just the little matter of that big rumbly thing under the bonnet, buy I see the owner forgot about that during his bodykit frenzy.

I'd rather have a stock looking 1.4 with an R32 lump tbh ;)

What would be the insurance implications of this conversion, basically theives will think it's an R32 so could put it near a R32's bracket.

Just a thought! Better buying a GTI and be done with it.

Seems to be lacking 4wd running gear too.

What I'm most interested in is the owners choice of car to replce it, what exactly is a BMW 346, I didn't think they did a 4.6 in the 3 series, would that be a V8!?

Nice looking though. Mmmmmmmmmmmm

except for the R32 badges. Why not just have it as a very nice looking 1.4, without pretending to everyone that it's an R32 ?

Must mean E46, the BMW name for the late 90s/early 00s 3-series

Exactly my point - Now he is trying to get all his money back on it - Dont think it will happen ;)

His opening line is a little flawed!

THIS CAR IS TRUELY UNIQUE AND I GUARANTEE THERE IS NOT A CLEANER,MORE GENUINE GOLF ON EBAY TODAY.

Genuine??

Genuine??

Not just genuine, but origional too :)

lol, I noticed that too, about 25 times :D

That's because he's not just used Origional parts,

they're Origional Volkswagon parts.

O dear O dear O dear.

At least it's got a quality SOND system too.

;)

Yeah, it's just the way he mistyped it and put it in that sentence made it look like he was after 346, 323 or 325! I used to have an E36 323 when I was younger, don't know why it didn't click earlier that he'd just mistyped the model code.

and it RUMPLES and PEARS just like a real R32:)

.....yeah right, and my Tdi BURPLES like a TVR

What a complete and utter waste of time and money:thumbdwn:

I agree - The wierd thing is people are still bidding on it... The seller is also a first time seller :thumbdwn:

Interphase is right. If this was a standard looking 1400,with the R32 engine (and running gear),it would be a different story:)

Depends what you're after. Not everyone wants (or can afford) an R32 so something that looks like it for 1.4 insurance will probably be more accessible. After all, there's a chap on here with a Fabia SDI dressed up to look like a vRS....

Chris

Considering the effort that's been put into the appearance of the car some body coloured side strips would have been nice.

The black ones just don't look very R32ish

I probably doesn't burble, just farts more like

Thats a good point chris - 'I think' what he was trying to say was he wont get his money back on it.... not sure..
