Featured Replies

had a really long day today, 12.5 hours, and 400 miles!!!!

found a couple of cars that wanted to 'play'

new version mini cooper s (1.6 petrol turbo... dunno the power ... 16obhp ish?)

the punto is nearly as quick...... the mini just had the edge just

new version honda civic type-R... no chance! lol.... was much quicker...

as well, seems I still only have a "warm" hatch.....

whats next? uprated clutch for more power?! bigger turbo?

or the 180 version of the arbarth with a remap to 220?!

anyway.......

You tried using gears 3, 4 and 5 ?

Can instruct you if you like :P

You'll be wearing a red hair net next

:sofahide:

before aforementioned hair net comes my way - ooh er

get an MK2 Octavia vRS petrol then you can play with much bigger cars :P

i think the new mini is 175bhp not certen tho.

You're not kidding

I detest the looks too - designed by a committee, bits off everything

And, what is so chic :( now will look so rubbish in a few years time, more so with stripes

Oh I dunno, I think I surprised a teenager this weekend ;)

Perhaps you should buy a Fabia vRS Sharky    :thumbup:

The facelift Mini II's use the PSA Group (Peugeot/Citroen) engines rather than the Chrysler engines found in the first Mini II. Much better engines IMO.

The new CTR has less power but more torque than the older one. Less of a Japanese school boy's wet dream & more of a grown up's car.

Hmm ive shocked a few of the FuhrerMobiles over here on the bahn;)

9.6 / 10

at least mine could still be seen even though it had shrunk with the cold. Not like yours unless someone has a bi-focal windscreen

9.7 / 10

You must stop letting your learners drive so fast Dave;)

Actually the new CTR has more bhp 198 compared to 197 and a slight increase in torque like you said. Honda have lowered the v-tec, now comes in at 5k rarther than 6k for a better drive;)

Same engine in the 207GT (150bhp) which I've just ordered for the Mrs since SUK won't extract the digit and give us a date for the Furby vRS.

Engine is well sweet, loads of torque, good compromise between smoothness of petrol and torque of diesel.

I'm secretly hoping she gets her Pug before I get my Octy vRS cos then I can go out to play in it. If I get mine first she'll want a shot and I'm scared she might break it.

HonestJohn really rates these - they look like a real hoot

Perhaps you should buy a Fabia 2.0 ? I'm always on the look out for those as I really dont want to come up against one at thr traffic light GP.

Not a huge Pug fan but at £12858 for the 5dr with shiny paint, 5 CD Changer, Bluetooth (Come on SUK, Sort yours out), and cruise control, I think it's cracking value. Coming from Mike Thomson Pug of Stafford.

Skoda are gonna have to work hard with any new vRS to compete.

There will always be a band of happy geeks and freaks that will buy the new Fabia VRS just because "its really a VW"

No idea where those sort of people go to find their information though

Would be a bad reason to buy a car in it's own right, i.e. it's a VW underneath the Skoda badge

I bought my Mk1 Fabia vRS as it was the car that met my needs at the time :)
