Japanese Grand Prix 2007 - an outstanding race

Featured Replies

I won't post any spoilers until it's been repeated at the more civilised time , but it was one of the best races I've ever seen. Two of the drivers on the last lap were behaving more like they were in the BTCC than F1.

Well worth watching.

I just posted about that in the other thread :D

Top stuff in the last few corners

I hadn't spotted the other thread.

It really was a very impressive bit of driving , and nice to see that they were laughing and joking about it after the race rather than having a go.

Yep worth getting up for.

I am livid. I cannot believe that Ferrai weren't black flagged for their blatant flouting of the rules.

Great race by Lewis, DC and a real shame about Jenson and Mark Webber.

i was also more than a little suspicious of Massa's last pit stop.

They needed to try and get Raikonnen ahead of him for the points , but can't have Massa obviously slow down so the simple solution is bring him in for a pit-stop that he doesn't need. Same result , but no accusations of using team orders

I find it very hard to believe that he didn't have enough fuel - Ferrari don't make those kind of mistakes.

Must admit Alex I thought that too but almost ruled it out as it seemed to do him more harm than simply 'allowing' him to over take.

I managed to miss this race - how did Ferrari flout the rules?

Chris

They were all told to start the race on full wets. Ferrari chose to ignore the communication and have claimed not to have recieved it in time.

You still seem surprised that Ferrari havent appeared to have been bound by any F1 rules fun a great number of years!

Hence viewer figures plumitting until this year when finally they get pwnd. But what's this, it's illegal in F1 to pwn Ferrari? OK, hand them the constructors on a plate as a "sorry", eh Max?

Yep it was superb.. if a little dangerous at times. Those guys must have balls like canteloupe melons!

Real shame about button, couldn't help smile about alonso!

I think Ferrari screwed themselves up enough anyway by going out on the wrong tyres, a total tactical **** up.

As for the accidient that caused the safety car, couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke:D

Ba missed the silly o'clock one and missed the repeat at midnight...anybody got a link to a vid of the important bits; like Aloneso getting his karma top up?

the tv missed (most of) alonso losing it...... which was a great shame.. if any new footage appears on youtube or the like... please post a link!

"Formula One Management" seem to employ someone to scan youtube looking for anything that breaches their copyright - most of the links on there get shut down pretty quick

You will probably have to get in quick while its still up, but this footage of Massa / Kubica shows what F1 should be all about...

That looks like it was lifted straight out of a computer game and I loved the little nudges which forced them off the track before they came flying past at the next corner :rofl:

Chris

i remember Nick Carrington once asking what i meant by "dealing" with someone in reference to a track day.... Finally we have a video which captures the "essence"

Is that a closed hand up/down motion I see from Lewis?

You know, the one you give some Kev that cut you up, sped off then you see them pulled over by the cops

No doubt Max will suspect some team orders going on and hand the drivers Chamionship to Ferrari as well.........

Its all just part of the 'show' anyway, and then at the end of the year the laywers will come in and the McLaren drivers points will be removed and either Kimi will be champion or its possible that there wont be a champion for 2007

Must admit I'm a little surprised at Mark Webber complaining but then again he was pretty pi$$ed off.
