Just to bring some normality to the thread and answer something for thicko me:).....

Are these maps totally undectable then:confused:

It would appear that this one is

Yawn....just take the warning and call it quits, the rest is history, just get back to us when u here from the remap people.

Hi Clidgevrs,

I had my car remapped Custom Code only 2 days ago, VAG Check,Surrey, did the job, very professional and great service. It took about 2 hours to complete with initial vag-com check for any fault codes.

A road test with vag-com/laptop connected to check the all the parameters like boost pressure and such like were ok; a couple of hard accelerations in second and fourth were used to get some meaningful data. The map was then downloaded back at the garage and then the same road test procedure as previous followed.

The difference is immediate, for the first time I saw the ASR signal light and that whilst booting it in second in the dry, and as previously posted, the car pulls all the way up to 4000 rev. In all its brilliant:thumbup:

hope this info helps

Just out of interest, what do other companies do when installing a generic remap? Based on Sebster's post, JBS' 10 minutes and you are done seems a bit tight. Not moaning too much though as it was half price.

My Revo was done in 10mins.

A good test to see if it has worked is cruise along at say 30MPH and with your car in fourth or five gear plant the throttle. You should feel an almighty rumble through the streering wheel and pedals and gear ****....this is the torque stressing the Duel-Mass Flywheel so don't make a habit of doing it as its bad - but it does proove your car has been remapped as your car won't do this as standard.

Hi Clidge.

Really sorry to hear what's happened, and some of the people on here can be really nasty at times. 'Beretta, Delcac etc,' and they say things that just aren't needed.

So, On that basis,

Do you reckon you look really gullable, that JBS just pretended to fiddle with a laptop for 20 minutes. Easy £200.

I'd complain about the comments that just aren't neccessary by the way.

Love,

Aaron

Don't try this at home folks!

Besides which commenting on the similarity of join dates/company promotions isn't forbidden by the rules.

I also don't think its forbidden for a Briskoda member to take advantage of any promotion that is available to the forum , whatever their joining date

Indeed it's not...but I don't think that was what Des was enquiring about. :)

Rob.

Sorry to hear you have not been impressed with your remap.:(

I however have just had my Fabia Vrs remapped by Angel Tuning tonight (came to my house) and all I can say is "OMG!!!!!" over and over again......

The power is unbelievable, its so much smoother, torque is amazing. I am a very very happy bunny.

You can tell straight away the increase in power is very noticeable in any gear and it's a lot quieter. and driving round town is so much easier.

It is a real shame you did not go with Angel Tuning (from your earlier posts you were undecided) as I daresay your OP would be one full of glee.

Let's hope they get it fixed...soon.

It is odd, I had a custom code phase 1 generic map and it hit 177bhp on the superchips RR before they mapped the stage 2 hybrid.

I dont know what happened with yours but it sounds like it wasnt loaded or activated for whatever reasons.

It would appear that this one is

My JBS remap took 10 minutes - to be honest it was a bit of an anticlimax. Until I got in the car and drove it.

The difference was astounding. Brilliant stuff.

You're not just paying for the 10 minutes' work, but also the development time, JBS' running costs, advertising etc etc.

Hi Clidge.

Have you been watching "Brokeback Mountain" again, and again, and again?????? ....................LOL

I can't believe someone like JBS would "forget" to map the car.

My gut feeling says it was already mapped.

Just go and see them ffs.

Coward.......................................LOL

I’m a hero..........with coward’s legs.

My mate William Shakespeare once said.....

Cowards die many times before their deaths;

The valiant never taste of death but once.
