:D Blimey you're keen jon! You been in touch with them already? The dates I've got here ere 28/5 & 3/9. Both fridays granted, but don't think you'll need min nos, just pay and turn up. Did one a couple of may's ago,and I think there were only about 15 of us on the circuit all day.You could go on and off the track when you wanted too.Don't suppose it would be like that now due to increasing popularity!C.J.

I would mind having a go a Brunters.....not sure about everyone else though..."been there, done that"....

September may be a bad date though...there's TRAX at Silverstone on the 5th.

Anglesey sounds good as well

<------------------------------Guilty of spinning on the track :)

Yes run off useful - novices will be warey of damage to their cars.

Personally, I thinkyou guys would enjoy a more twisty track IMO.

I liked Bruntingthorpe :)

CJ, it's bookatrack, they have the 18th and 19th available. 18th looks like it's a pug owners day so 19th looks good, the fact that there is a 911 Turbo booked on for me to play with has nothing to do with it :D

Guys I may be able to sort something out for this. How about a big farms field with a proper twisty track which is tarmac'd, basically you are given the keys and you essentially rent it for the whole day, I have been imformed this is about

19th would be good, have a plan bubbling for an evening social driver round wales anyway in that month. Might be close owing to my 30th in that month, SWMBO sister getting married in scotland, trackday, traverse of the cullin (lol yeah right), weekend climbing in wales...guess I best book the whole month off now...think there is a wrc event aswell :D

trac mon is a good track, trust me even on road tyres all day and alot of pushing it round (see front cover) they came out with less wear than a dozen laps of brunters.

Easily learnt so you don't stuff it, but very hard to master.

Happy to publish a date and meet everyone there. the National will be back next year I think, but there is nothing stopping us booking en masse fora date in the future. It also removes the cost burden on one person, a good move all round.

oh the plus is you get to come in via North Wales, only 1.5hours from Brum :D

The 19/9 is a sunday bear in mind those who have to travel bigger distances! Still it's out of main hol season,so the notoriously busy sun pm going home time A55 shouldn't be too bad at that time of year. Mate of mine was there yesterday doing a rally, said it was cold and foggy until 2 pm.Sunny n warm here 80 miles away! Anglesey does seem to have it's own weather system

So if this is going to happen, how do we get it rolling  I'm more than willing to help in whatever capacity, but don't want to be pushing in where I'm not wanted. No good at setting up lists on here, but could possibly get lists of accomodation for those travelling.Too far for a lot of people in one day Id have thought :finger: For those with caravans or tents, their isn't normally a problem staying on site overnight either.Excellent facilities now too. New loo block, showers, play area for kids and conference/dining/signing on room. Excellent burger van too normally, and on race days the graphic man is in his hut too! Superb/Fab....ulous place  C.J.

I'm up for it :D

name the place and the time..............I'm dancin' if your askin' :D:D:D

NO NO NO PLEASE, not the 19th. Cannonball finishes on the 18th so with excessive sleep deprevation, Alcohol poisoning & probably a tired car its a no no for me.

You also have trax at the begining of Sept. Anything in October ???

Seriously if its the best date do it, I will just have to wait till next year

We'll discuss it later in the backroom ;)

Dates are subjective and the October ones have not been published yet. Clocks and weather are my only concern, but as this is a mini plan and not a full on huge mega meet :D we can be accomodating. Oh and the prices drop to 99 for winter, which is october and beyond.

the laternatives I guess are other venues, take your pick in your region. The point of using .n.other oragnised event is the likes of Des do not have to run around before hand, we just book turn up, drive and grab a swift half on the way home.

So don't jump yet, we'll look into venues and dates...

@Stuart, you know I could of sworn I hear somthing..must be me; but it was along the lines of not doing another one...I thought at the time it was a bit fishy. Has ffelan entered as well?

Circuit would be nice - better surface, more challenging, but more expensive, and less forgiving than an airfield. That said I didn't see anyone on the grass yesterday personally. I guess there were one or two - saw at least one spin, but nothing drastic.

I went off on the hairpin coming back onto the pit lane straight. Too much speed going in and under steered off, fortunately between two of the tyre stacks - I would be up for a go around the Anglesey circuit.

Stuart, did you do the cannonball last year. One of my nutty mates did it in a porsche 928,white with chequered flag graphics all over the front.Apparently got chased by a helicopter, before he blew it up. finished in a hired clio diesel I think! Totally barmcaked he is,mind you the rest of you must be too :D

Trouble with anglesey in october as colin said, can be the weather.Very fickle at the best of times, but if it gets bad anywhere else,it can be twice as bad there, being right next door to the irish sea and the snowden mountain ranges etc. Might just be lucky in which case yipee, sun tan oil out again. Can get wind burn(!)there too  even if it's cloudy. C.J.

p.s. forgot to mention before,camping/caravans are free. Iv'e taken caravan and stayed there for 2 days.If its not too windy, you won't get a better site with such spectacular views anywhere! Certainly not one with a race circuit attached  You just have to notify them of your intentions

CJ

Yep & the year before, I remember your mate, seemed to be the king of Sideways, He will probably remember us, we were the Silver Skoda & spent a bit of time on the road with him

I'll send John your regards.Don't know if his missus will let him do it this year,I believe she found out about the police/helicopter chase, and was NOT best pleased at all.Heard about it on the internet apparently  Knowing john though,he'll have blagged his way out of it! :P C.J.

CJ

If thats all she found out "phew" He should be able to blag that one. Ask him about the, No better not go there

Try, "They thought it was the Police but actually it was a film crew, cant prove it as they wernt filming at the trime"
